Getting my baby to nap/sleep at night is such an ever changing puzzle!
I had been trying to transition her from the RnP to her crib using a crib wedge and MM sleep suit. That wasn't going so hot. So today I put her in the MM suit and instead put her down in the PnP in our bedroom. She's napped for almost 2 hours in there! So apparently she doesn't need to be at an incline and the crib wedge was useless? Also, my room has blackout curtains and the nursery does not. That may have been a factor too? Who knows!
I'm going to keep trying to put her in the PnP. I was hoping to go straight from RnP to crib in her own room. But I just want her out of the RnP! If she needs to first transition to the PnP in our room, so be it.
When we transitioned DD to the crib for naps we had to have blackout curtains. She couldn't nap without it being very dark. She had previously napped in the swing in the bright living room.
Yeah, isn't that interesting?! It doesn't matter how bright the room is...she will sleep in her RnP with no problem. But she needs it pitch dark to nap in the PnP!

Anyone else's baby start sleeping less when they started daycare? Granted he's only been there 4 days so far but he's taking 3 20-45 minute naps, plus a 20-30 minute car nap when I pick him up. I mean he's acting okay it just seems so short when he used to give me a good 1-2 hour nap when we were at home.

Give it 2-3 weeks. (I forget if you have already done that yet, sorry!) Such an adjustment on them.

With A he was at an in-home and was able to nap in a room alone. So we didn't have this issue. Cam was only there this last week so we still have some schedule adjustments to make.

DDs first couple of weeks were a shit show. (Large center). And then.. It was amazing. She napped better there than she ever did at home!
Even at 13 months when they transition them to just cots vs cribs and just one nap a day, I was like "that won't work for MY kid" but it totally did.

Mine is doing the same, it's so loud and different for them that there is probably going to be a long adjustment period
aaemommy, that is one of the reasons we are keeping LO at home the first year. DS1 had HORRIBLE naps at daycare until he transitioned to 1 nap. But at home he would rip good naps, so we knew he needed the sleep. Give it a few weeks and he'll likely adjust! Also, ask if they are following their schedule or HIS schedule. Another reason we aren't sending our babe to daycare now is because they have "nap time" at 11am and 2pm. Well, my kid naps at 9, 11, 2:30 and 5pm depending on how short the naps are.

They're absolutely amazing! They completely follow baby's schedule. I think probably the noises/ cries/ etc wakes him up at that first sleep cycle transition instead of continuing to sleep like he does at home. So I'm hoping it gets better as he gets more used to it.
