Hi all! I'm 11ish weeks pregnant with our 2nd baby. MH is insisting on a J name and I'm stuck. I'm due end of December- early Jan( fx for December!) so we don't know what we are having yet. For girl I think I am set, I love juniper. I also like January but not if she is born in January and I don't love Jan as a nickname. So two questions: is juniper too out there? And can you help me with some J boy names. For reference my dd is Marin (muh-rin) and our last name is one syllable. Thanks in advance for any help, you ladies are awesome!

Juniper is fantastic.
That being said, I would not limit myself to J names only. Tell him you will use a J name if you find one you both love. Otherwise, the whole alphabet should be an option.
J boy names (there aren't many I like): Justus John James Julian Jonathan Jory

Juniper is not too out there, it was my friend's nickname in high school, from the song Jennifer, Juniper. But I do prefer other J girl names -- Jeannette and Jeannine are my preferences.
For boy names, I don't really have a favorite, but please do not add to the number of Jacksons, and definitely do not misspell it.
Ok I will help with names in a moment, but first...does anyone else remember when this happened 2+ years ago on TB? Yes I screen-shot and saved it because it was so ridiculous!

I think I missed that when it happened but lolololol. Ah, TB. Good times.

I'd bet 638 million dollars that the end of that sentence was, "...it's own."
+1 don't limit yourself to J! But I do love Juniper. And TBH I adore January, but it's okay if that's just me. Personally, I love month names. Boy J-names:
Jeffrey Joseph Jordan Jebidiah Jacob James Justin Joshua Judah Jeremiah

Juniper is too out there for me personally, but I'd love to meet a baby with that name.
I looked at a lot of J names when pregnant because we were originally trying to match someone's initials. It didn't wind up working, but I did go with a J name -Josephine.
I also considered Johanna Jolene Josette Jacqueline
I wasn't initially a fan of Juniper, but actually heard a mom calling for her little girl Juniper in Target last week, and thought, huh, I like that. Hah. Guess I just needed to hear it out loud? I also like January, but get the whole born in January issue. I'll suggest Jocelyn for a girl. I'll second (or third) Joel and Julian for boys. I really like Jude for a boy as well. I like how all the names sound as a sibset too.

Thanks everyone! We are trying to match someone's initials as a tribute. MH feels more strongly about it than I do. If this baby is a girl it won't be an issue but boys may get a second conversation, I just don't have a love for any J boy names. Thanks for helping confirm that.
