Pink lines tell me I go here!! 12dpo right now, edd 2/22.
I have an 18 month old DS and he was a huge surprise to us. It feels a bit different to have tried for a pregnancy this time! I'm a sahm mostly, and live in the Midwest, though my heart belongs in the mountains of Colorado.
I'm also a bit of a crunchy mom... home birth, babywearing, cloth diapers, gentle parenting, breastfeeding, that's me! I'm an open book and very willing to share resources and reasonings for my decisions. I'm passionate about educating and empowering women to make the best choices that fit their family, particularly when it comes to birth options.
I'm excited to get to know everyone! Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months all around.
Welcome and congratulations! I'm also a midwest crunchy momma-minus the homebirth (not really am option here).
Happy and healthy 9months to you!
What state do you live in? (If you want to share.) Why is it not an option for you (state regulations, personal choice)? Do you want home birth to be an option?
Welcome & congrats! I don't consider myself crunchy, but I'm a breastfeeding, cloth diapering momma as well!
I don't love the term "crunchy" but if the shoe fits, wear it? We don't eat any kind of special diet, so that's what keeps me from appearing full on crazy crunchy.

From the research I've done, there are no providers/ midwives for homebirth in southwest Michigan. I know women in other areas of the state that have had hb's, though.

Congrats! "Crunchy" here too, but I live in a very crunchy area so while some people consider me very crunchy, I'm pretty tame around these parts. CD, BW, BF, co-sleeping. We've had 2 hospital births given the circumstances of my first but this time I'd like to get a midwife with experience in homebirth just in case because my 2nd was almost born in the car, and not because we were delayed in anyway.
