My hubby and I recently started camping. We have a trip planned in July, but now that I can't drink wine I'm not looking forward to it nearly as much. I love going on vacation, especially to the beach, working out, watching all the reality shows, and shopping!! My hobbies are kinda lame now that all my time is spent chasing my one year old around.
Do you and your DH go "rough it" camping or take a camper? Either way - it sounds fun! I'd love to throw in a few camping trips once the kiddos get a bit older!
Right now my main hobby is trolling Pinterest and an app called Houz for house ideas since we are building. If there's free time after that I like to read.

You guys are motivating me to do more LOL When the Free-Time Unicorn appears, I love to read and do puzzles. And when I say puzzles I mean everything from jigsaws to 3-D to Legos. MH and I are working on a 2,000 piece puzzle now, and J is totally getting into her own puzzles. I'm also a huge nerd apparently.
Also LOVE the gym (mainly for cardio), volleyball (played in college), and basketball. We do a lot of hiking and trail blazing, too. Any excuse to get outside really.
I used to be into sewing, but got out of the hobby. Since we have a lot of knitters/crocheters, any tips on getting started? I've never tried.

Free time? Ha! In the 15-20 minutes between DS going to bed and me passing out from exhaustion, I like to drink wine (oh I miss it already) and read. Currently rereading GoT and the Bloodline series (vampire academy spinoff).
How did I not know there was a Vampire Academy spinoff?! Just lined up my next series.
Omg yes. It's about Sydney instead of rose. Adrian figures prominently ❤️❤️❤️ Lots of people seemed to dislike the series but I adore it. And Adrian is my soulmate.

Is it the same Bloodline as the Netflix series?! It's my favorite show right now!

Wow this group gets a lot done in their free time! I'm feeling motivated haha. I too love to read, but find myself watching tv more often than not. I'm a binger of Top Chef, Jane the Virgin and the Mindy Project. Also love GOT and am so sad it's almost over!! I sort of garden..by which I mean I buy and plant flowers etc and attempt to slow the dying process by watering them occasionally. I'm not good at it, my flower boxes are brown and crisp if any gardeners want to share their happenings or tips, please do! I'd love to hear. I know my last month board had a book club-too much work or is anybody interested?
I had no idea the 2nd season of serial was up!! Without giving out any spoilers, how is it?? I was HOOKED on the first one!
It's really a different type of story. It's about Bowe Bergdahl (sp?) he was taken as a POW in Afghanistan. And the story of if he deserted or what...I am definitely liking it, but have heard that others weren't as into it as the first one. I just love the way the stories are told with the interviews and the woman is a really captivating narrator.
So for the first one- if you don't mind me asking- did you think Adnan was guilty?
I can't wait for this convo to start haha! What a great series. I'll be creeping, it's been a year since I listened to it and I still can't decide. I'm leaning towards guilty because what are the odds..and of course, then who else did it???

Well between my 4 year old and nearly 7 month old I enjoy peeing alone, taking the garbage to the road (that walk of silence is wonderful), and sleeping. Otherwise I'm pretty much a pack mule for my children.
Actual hobbies: I read, blog, bake, all usually with my children but they enjoy "helping".
Interests: I'm addicted to cloth diapers, baby wearing, etc so I love helping to convert my friends and giving others advice. I'd love to open my own green living baby shop one day. That's one dream. I was also a vet tech at an animal shelter before I turned into a SAHM and was a workaholic. I loved working group with our local spca branch to help turn animals lives around and see them rehomed from terrible situations. It's a real passion of mine to work with animals like that.

Lol to free time between my crazy job and toddler. When I do have time, I love hanging with my little one, reading, trips to the beach, watching trashy tv, and spending time with friends/fam. Bucket list of some day activities include learning to cook and to knit and improving my photography skills. Oh and another Call the Midwife Fan here!!!
For all you knitters, how did you learn? Did you take a class, or is it something you can figure out on your own, maybe after watching a few Youtube videos?
ls2012, so jealous of your home renovation project...I loooove old houses!

I think he's guilty too. But I think he definitely is a sociopath to be such a good liar. I think that the most shocking part was how much they relied on Jays testimony and how little he got in trouble. Like come on!!! He helped dispose of a murder. I know people make deals and all that--but come on! And I was annoyed at Adnan the whole time. Like why can't you remember what you're doing?? Why aren't you screaming about your innocence!?

I consider myself to be an intermediate level crocheter and I taught myself entirely from watching YouTube videos! It's great because you can stop and go back as many times as you need to to get the hang of it.

I'm a crocheter, not a knitter, but I taught myself exclusively by watching YouTube videos! It's actually amazing what you can learn on YouTube...
Free time? Ha! I spend most of my free time with our 9 month old. We go to the beach a lot, I like to shop for baby clothes a lot (DD has an amazing wardrobe, lol), and we walk around town a lot. We live in a resort town in New England so there is a ton to do here in the summer.

lilyofthevalley, I taught myself with a book back in college, but any time I run across a stitch I'm not sure about, I you tube it. I also started with simple projects like scarves and worked my way up. I've made baby dresses/sweaters and was so happy they turned out. And they're adorable (if I'm allowed to say that about my own handiwork)!

I'm on team innocent! I think his friend is totally guilty and it's crazy that he's not in jail! I do wonder how much Adnan was involved... BUT the library story, where the old friend finally came forth with the alibi, that's pretty convincing. What about you flyinghorses6 ,?? What do you think?
I'm definitely going to start the next Serial. I agree, the narrator did an excellent job.
ETA: whoops, just noticed your take above, I neglected to catch up on the posts. You think guilty?? What about the library alibi?? And I was totally sold with the very very first episode where she asks people to describe what they did a number of days in the past and how, if it was an normal uneventful day, you really can't remember. That's why I believe Adnan... BUT I could be wrong lol.
You think guilty too coffeeonice?? I guess I'm the minority!

We used to "rough it" camp but we just started taking my parent's pop up trailer. There's no way I would survive without a bed for the baby and running water to clean him up! DH and I always said "it's not camping if you're in a house on wheels" but oh how things have changed!

Now I feel compelled to google for any updates.
I totally go back n forth! For now I say guilty. There were like 3 quick update podcast episodes but they kinda left you hanging. I've briefly done some research to find out what came of it because she sorta dropped it to do season 2, but I never came up with anything.

You all are productive in your free time! When I get some free time I usually veg out with Netflix or Internet. I'm another Call the Midwife fan.
I enjoy reading, less now that I'm in grad school and there's so much required. That's why I love audiobooks for my commute. I also like going to yoga classes, getting outside for walks/bike/rollerblading, and trying new restaurants.

I go back and forth too but right now I'm thinking not guilty. I think the lack of an alibi and not remembering that afternoon are totally normal for an uneventful day, which makes me think he didn't do it.

I'm feeling quite lazy... I work more than I'd care to admit, which also can require travel. In the rare event of spare time, I love to cook and particularly bake, similar to pivot, I had hoped a previous employer would be sold and I could use the bought out stock to quit and start a desert catering business. Sadly it didn't work out that way, but I love to bring joy to my family and friends with delicious baked things I guess I'd also consider wine collecting a hobby, MH and i got engaged and were married in Napa and have developed a fascination with it that keeps me immersed.
When I'm not being a lazy bloated lump, I love yoga and used to run before knee damage won.
Oh... I also spend way too much time on Game of Thrones!!
When I'm not stuck on night shifts I enjoy baking/cooking, redecorating my home, going to the beach and walks through the botanical gardens, fishing, reading and gardening. I just harvested my first ever pineapple!!
Currently I'm binge watching GoT and Brooklyn99, and my H and I love Penny Dreadful.
I like to knit and cross stitch, and my friend and I started a little side business making hanging planters and wall art.
