Reading, crafting, baking, camping (do we call it camping when there's AC/cable/wifi?), planning home projects for my DH, visiting local festivals and events
Hey shellbell, you took my answer! Well almost. I love to read so much that I can read books over and over again. I love to make things: quilts, purses, easy clothes(really easy) and my latest crafting: machine embroidery. I also love to bake and decorate cookies and cakes. I'm not really good at the decorating part at all but I try so hard. I would love to take a cake decorating class one day. I have so many ideas for fixing the house up and in my head they only take a day-reality is more like 6 months so we have a ways to go.

Mostly veg on the couch these days - it feels like a luxury! Before we had DD, DH and I did go bird watching quite a bit and visit various national parks. We did a lot of walking. I guess spending time with him is my favorite free time activity. awww..

What are you reading? This is embarrassing, but I only finally got around to reading the whole Harry Potter series at the end of last year.
eta.. oh Lord, there it goes again. Please ignore this "save" at the end of every post. Save
loubug when I was pregnant with DS, I took the first Wilton cake decorating class at JoAnn's. It was so much fun! You do cookies, cakes, and cupcakes. Really worth it!
I also read books over and over, though not as much now as I used to. I've read 56 books this year already!

sweetieheart32 I just finished the third book in the Call the Midwife Trilogy. Do not recommend for the newly pregnant.
shellbell, my friends at work all rave about the BBC show. Is that the same? It sounds scary!
Yes, I think the show was based on the books. I haven't seen the show though. The first book is the best, and I would say safe for pregnancy. It's actually all very interesting -- the nuns, the medical practices, the families, etc.

I love reading, crafting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, and baking. Obviously I'm pretty limited by time and do not do all these things regularly Except I do crochet pretty often. I'm currently making a scarf that has colors for the weather for each day. And I'm in the middle of making 4 skirts because I don't have anything to wear for vacation and don't want to buy any clothes since I will only be able to wear them for like 2 weeks... Lol!

I love that show! And I started reading the book when my son was a newborn, but it was hard to hold the book with one hand so I still haven't finished it.
I actually tried to watch an episode of call the midwife while I was in labor, thinking it would give me courage. But I was too far gone by that point and couldn't stand all the noise. Weird choice, right?
Not including drinking wine?! I enjoy jogs/walks with my LO and dogs, cooking, trying new restaurants, and reading (or watching) historical fiction. I actually need to get a new hobby because for the last 5 years I spent 3-4 hours a day commuting and since we've moved I now have that time back. We have a yard now and I think I may take a shot at gardening -stay tuned for "is this a weed or flower" posts!

Since DD I do not have free time really...if I do I try and get to the gym--I love body pump and barre. I read when it's dead at work. I will reread books but only if I absolutely loved it--like the HP series! I love crafting, crocheting, teaching myself how to do new things. I listen to podcasts on my 45 minute commute. Almost done with season 2 of serial. I also listen to case file, and a GoT podcast. Can you say dorky??? Uhh yes. I can.

I had no idea the 2nd season of serial was up!! Without giving out any spoilers, how is it?? I was HOOKED on the first one!
Free time? Ha! In the 15-20 minutes between DS going to bed and me passing out from exhaustion, I like to drink wine (oh I miss it already) and read. Currently rereading GoT and the Bloodline series (vampire academy spinoff).

56 books! I am so very impressed. That's my hobby that has really taken a hit. It used to be all I did when I had free time but now it feels like a luxury. I've started quite a few books but now that I think about it I haven't finished any of them.
I read a ton. I just read Brad Meltzer's new one. I love the Discovery of Witches trilogy! It spawned my love of all things alchemy/ mad scientist.
We're renovating (slowly, room by room) our 1912 Edwardian house. Being a design junky helps. We were working on the spare bedroom and making it a guest bedroom/ art studio when we found out about this pregnancy, so now I'm trying to merge the ideas into a nursey.
I take walks a lot. I love to swim, but haven't been able to get to a pool to do laps in a long time.
I'm a sleepaholic.
And I adore musicals. I was a musical theatre major and it's a nagging daydream of mine to try it again. I am obsessed with Hamilton right now. Can't wait for it to come to Chicago so I might have a chance to see it.
I was recently telling H that I feel like I don't have real hobbies anymore like I was younger. I'd say I love to read - he got me kindle unlimited for the holidays this past year and since I finished grad school this past August, I suddenly have a ton of free time to read for pleasure! I love vegging out on the couch and binge watching shows. And I am making a really big effort to work out more, esp now. I like to eat, we like to try new restaurants, and I love bike riding along the lake path in the spring / summer here. Working night shift I feel like I don't have a ton of time bc I'm always trying to catch up on sleep / I'm perpetually tired... I guess that is helping prepare me for this nugget coming??!

It's really a different type of story. It's about Bowe Bergdahl (sp?) he was taken as a POW in Afghanistan. And the story of if he deserted or what...I am definitely liking it, but have heard that others weren't as into it as the first one. I just love the way the stories are told with the interviews and the woman is a really captivating narrator.
So for the first one- if you don't mind me asking- did you think Adnan was guilty?

ls2012 I loved the discovery of witches trilogy!!! Loved it. I just wish I read them all back to back. I read each one as it came out, so it was more disconnected for me.
My hubby and I recently started camping. We have a trip planned in July, but now that I can't drink wine I'm not looking forward to it nearly as much. I love going on vacation, especially to the beach, working out, watching all the reality shows, and shopping!! My hobbies are kinda lame now that all my time is spent chasing my one year old around.
Cooking, baking, gardening, writing, trying new foods. I grew up around horses but don't have one of my own. loubug and shellbell cake decorating is really fun! I just wish my stuff looked halfway decent. I'm learning lol
I also love to read and watch movies/tv. sweetieheart32 I LOVE Call the Midwife. They just released the new season on Netflix and it is wonderful! If you cry at everything, you might want to do small doses though.
Oh yes. I forgot. One more hobby/interest. Sleep. I really love sleep.

I SAH three days a week, and my DS is a good napper.
When I was pg with him, I couldn't concentrate on reading -- I would just fall asleep. I'm noticing the same problem now.
Right now my main hobby is trolling Pinterest and an app called Houz for house ideas since we are building. If there's free time after that I like to read.
Definitely lol @ free time, but when this magical unicorn does appear... reading, crochet and most recently photobooking. It's amazing to see your hundreds of dusty photos turned into something modern and beautiful!

How did I not know there was a Vampire Academy spinoff?! Just lined up my next series.
I wish I had more time to devote to my hobbies I love to bake/cook. I contemplated going to culinary school & opening a bakery at one point, but it's a lot of work and time so I just stick to it for fun. I also love DIY projects. My current one is turning a piece of furniture we found at a yard sale into our half bath vanity for the new house! Also love running/exercise, scrapbook in and traveling. I try to pick a place I've never been when we decide to take vacations!

Is it the same Bloodline as the Netflix series?! It's my favorite show right now!
