My OB gave me Diclegis for my nausea/vomiting. It says to take 2 on an empty stomach before bed. I took it on an empty stomach but then 30-40 minutes later got hungry and ate. Will that screw up the medicine? Anyone taken this med before? And now I'm super nauseous.

I've been taking diclegis for the past 4 weeks and it's been amazing for my nausea/vomiting, but the extra exhaustion during the day has been a bit rough. I've been taking my two pills right before I get in bed, so I don't have any experience with possible issues related to taking them and then eating afterwards.
I will say, you will notice if you get into a time routine and then you miss it. I've been taking mine nightly around 10pm and when we were on vacation last week I missed taking my next dose by an hour and a half and I was so sick both that night and the next morning.
I've been taking this for the last 5 weeks or so and can't imagine what I would have done without it.
I also take my night time dose as I get into bed so that usually works out ok. I think it's recommended 1hr before or 2hrs after eating but taking it sooner than that probably just delays the onset vs stopping it from working. I also need to take a pill in the morning otherwise I'm a useless, vomitting mess by 10 am. That one is usually only 30min or so before I eat breakfast and it definitely works still.
Nausea hits me again mid afternoon but I found I was too much of a zombie with the 4 th pill so try my best to deal without it most days.

Interesting as I was never told to take my pills on an empty stomach. I've found eating small amounts to be a huge help, and usually have a couple crackers right before bed and when I wake up.
I agree that taking them consistently really helps. They were a lifesaver my first pregnancy.
I'm often still sick though so will try taking them on an empty stomach

I just started taking this 2 days ago and take the 2 night time pills right before bed and yesterday took one in the morning. So far so good, knock on wood. The exhaustion is a small price to pay in exchange for not throwing up all day in my opinion! Hoping this just lasts through first tri and then goes away!!
