GL at your appointment this afternoon, littlelion !
This week flew by so much I haven't even been thinking about my appointment on Monday. It's been 4 (or 3?) long weeks since I've seen the babies!
I know! I think 1st tri was slow starting but now the weeks do seem to go fast.
I was riddled with constant anxiety in the 1st tri. Now, for the first time, I am starting to relax and enjoy being pregnant. It's a great feeling. I know we are not out of the woods, but it's so much easier to be excited than nervous.
We're still cutting teeth so between that and the massive storm we got last night, I feel like I didn't get any sleep! Please let this work day pass quickly!
I'm sitting here, pretending to work and staring at my phone. I should hopefully get the blood test results back to see if I'm going to have a super complicated pregnancy and likely preemie, or a (hopefully) boring pregnancy. I have another ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday, since we added the first tri screening and NT scan at the last minute, based on the blood results with the kell titres. Not that they are in any way related, but it's another way to get a look at marshmallow (our nickname for this squish) and have insurance cover it.

requiressnacks, get a short dress cut the same way. Depending on where you live, Labor Day could still be summer HOT. It's a great print and a pretty color, but I think a little busy for a maxi dress IMO.

I'm drinking hot tea, it's chilly outside and in the office. My boss just came in and reminded me about this big project he wants me to start on Monday (after asking what I was up to today...). And he had asked for a 5 pm mtg yesterday after I had already left the office. Trying to stress me out. Can't he let me enjoy my half day Friday?
Speaking of weddings, I have one mid-Aug. I'll be 20+ wks. I bought a regular dress just one size up to wear a couple mths ago. How naive. I should return it but it's gold, and so pretty!
littlelion, good luck at your appointment! It could go either way with sizing up for a dress at 20 weeks. I think it probably could work. If not, can you return it closer to the wedding date?
requiressnacks, I really like the pattern (especially the color). It would be a lot of fabric for me, especially if it's warm out. If it was sleeveless or shorter, I'd go for it. It does not look like curtains at all, like Kim K's dress!
fikafairy67, fingers crossed for good results with your test!
So someone cut me off driving yesterday. I honked at him. While he was flipping me off, he rear ended a cab. I don't think there was any damage, but the cab stopped in the middle of the intersection. I just drove around them...
We're trying to sell our condo, and were under contract, but the deal fell through last night. We've already given notice to our nanny, so I'm freaking out a bit about childcare situation. Our building needs to do some pretty significant repairs and we offered the buyer a big credit, but they still walked. Ugh. Now trying to figure out how we will get all these repairs completed and still be able to sell the condo, and hopefully move before December! (Hopefully much earlier than December!)

I can't wait to go home for lunch! I could not make dinner last night, the chicken grossed me out. So I told dh to get dinner for himself and he did. And he brought home steak tacos for me. And he was so sweet, he asked for the lettuce on the side. He gets me.
Re: Car accident. We were all barely moving - rush hour city street traffic. I was thinking what an a-hole and didn't even realize that he hit the cab, until the cabby stopped and got out of the car (as I was driving around them).
@kc295905, love the black dress!
I have a wedding end of July and hoping I wear a flowy floral dress. I only wore it once, about a month postpartum, so it could be perfect. Although not sure if that early a flowy dress might just make me look fat.
W, condo issues were found during inspection and then investigated further by additional contractors. Not a good situation!
requiressnacks – I hope you get some good shots of the little ones Monday! I love the color of that dress but agree about the heat. EEKS!
@kaydee0402 – found out today that G is getting her first molar…. She had her 12 mo check up and her DR showed it to me. Must be why she’s been sleeping like crap lately too. *YAWN*
fikafairy67 – hope that you get good results back soon!
@knumbers – loooooooooooooooove the dress! I’m in a wedding the end of august (please don’t be 100 degrees) and I’m a little nervous at how big I might be!
We have a cafeteria here at work and recently they changed companies and so now we have new people up there.... well anytime I eat lunch here I always get an order of half and half fries (half sweet potato, half regular) and it's never been an issue. Yesterday I went up there and ordered that along with a grilled cheese and the lady told me that I couldn't get my fries that way that I had to buy BOTH...... I offered to pay the higher price (30 cents more for the sweet potatoes) and she still told me no. W/E!
So to be sassy, 2 of my co-workers went up there today and ordered fries the same way, and the gal said "this must be a thing around here, someone tried to get this yesterday and she got pissy when I told her no...." ...... PISSY!?!??! That's a nice way to talk about a companys employee where you are working! LOL. I have to laugh, cause it's over french fries, ha ha.... but still. How rude! You don't mess with a pregnant ladies french fries, especially when I offered to pay the higher price.

requiressnacks, like the dress, but I would opt for either shorter sleeves or a shorter dress. It can still get pretty warm in September and you'll be carrying around two babies. I felt like a human furnace while pregnant with DS, and you don't want to get overheated and pass out.
(Yep, I did that. In a meeting with a donor I was trying to fundraise money from. I wound up being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Worst. Meeting. Ever.)
Ok. this has been bugging me since our NT scan yesterday. The tech puts in the dates and of course it spits out to her a Dec 23 due date. She immediately goes "uggh, what an awful birthday, baby better come a week early!" That was totally rude and out of line right? I'm super tempted to grab a "how was our service" form next time and write her up. I can of course come up with all kinds of comebacks now, but all DH and I could do was look at her go, "well, we're fine with it."

She sucks. I'm a 12/22 birthday and it's not an awful birthday!
