Hi guys! Excited for another healthy, happy week of pregnancy! Thanks to everyone who checks in -- definitely keeps me mindful and honest.
- How did you have a healthy pregnancy last week?
- How will you love your body next week?
- Any recipes or fitness/wellness tips to share?
- GTKY: What time do you go to bed at night? How many hours of sleep do you usually get? Do you have a pre-bedtime ritual that you thinks helps you get to sleep faster?

1. How did you have a healthy pregnancy last week? I made healthy breakfasts and managed to eat homemade dinners most of the week.
2. How will you love your body next week? More walking! I've slacked in that area. And make sure I have fruit as snacks on hand.
3. Any recipes or fitness/wellness tips to share? None today.
GTKY: I usually fall asleep at 7-7:30 along with DS, wake up an hr later to clean the kitchen, make lunches. And back to bed at 9:30 and wake up at 6:00 am. No bedtime ritual. I sleep much better after DH gives me a nice back rub though.

- How did you have a healthy pregnancy last week? I've walked a few times and this weekend we will go do a Hike It Baby 2 mile trail hike. (Check your area to see if you have a local Hike It Baby Chapter. It's free and so much fun!)
- How will you love your body next week? Keep up with the walking and try to get more yoga in.
- Any recipes or fitness/wellness tips to share? One of the big things I'm focusing on this time is mental well-being. Last pregnancy I had a ridiculous amount of anxiety over loss since it took me three years to get pregnant. I used my doppler every night and there were times I would rush home in tears because I couldn't remember when I felt the baby move last and I "needed" my doppler to check. This time, I'm proud to say that I'm keeping my anxiety in check and haven't used my doppler once, which is a HUGE step for me. I'll probably break it out soon, but I just want to make sure it doesn't become a crutch (if that's the right word) like it did last time.
- GTKY: What time do you go to bed at night? How many hours of sleep do you usually get? Do you have a pre-bedtime ritual that you thinks helps you get to sleep faster? Ugh. Sleep. What's that? DS goes to bed at 8 and I normally wind up staying up too late watching stuff on Netflix. But I do try to hit the hay by 10:30 and I normally get up at 6:30. But with teething this week and a huge storm last night, my sleep has been all over the place. Thank God it's the weekend!

littlelion, homemade dinners is SUCH a big deal. My DH does the cooking and I always eat healthier when I eat at home.
@kc295905, how was your swim? I'm thinking about trying a swim class this pregnancy. I remember going in the pool at the end of my pregnancy with DS and it was BLISS to feel weightless. Or at least less heavy
kaydee0402, love the focus on mental health! I confess I don't have a doppler for that very reason -- I would be checking all the time.
- How did you have a healthy pregnancy last week? Doing a great job with my daily steps. I'm trying to average around 10,000 a day -- not easy but not impossible in NYC -- and I probably hit that or above six out of seven days last week.
- How will you love your body next week? Want to get back into nightly meditation. I was doing it every night before my eight week appointment and then started slacking off. I think it might help me relax a lot before bed (see below).
- Any recipes or fitness/wellness tips to share? Related to the below: I've started getting ready for bed at the same time I put my DS to bed. So I wash my face/moisturize and brush/floss my teeth. It means that I don't skip all that stuff when I'm too tired later and shows DS that mommies brush teeth too! And cuts down on late night snacking.
- GTKY: What time do you go to bed at night? How many hours of sleep do you usually get? Do you have a pre-bedtime ritual that you thinks helps you get to sleep faster? I used to have a great routine down (it was a New Years resolution) and I need to get back on it. I would get into bed at 9:30 and read for about 30 mins and then listen to a guided meditation for ten mins/until I fell asleep. I swear the quality of sleep was much better than now, but maybe that also has a lot to do with getting up in the middle of the night to pee/DS's nocturnal pee breaks/dog sleep barking that has been happening lately! I think I just really need to go to bed earlier and do some unwinding.
- How did you have a healthy pregnancy last week? Last week was all about surviving, with a huge work even and retreat for my husband's work. My main priority was eating regularly and getting rest. I think I did well, and managed to survive a few very late nights.
- How will you love your body next week? Trying to get more sleep this week and got to barre class at least twice. But all I want to do is lay down.
- Any recipes or fitness/wellness tips to share? None today.
- GTKY: What time do you go to bed at night? How many hours of sleep do you usually get? Do you have a pre-bedtime ritual that you thinks helps you get to sleep faster? I usually get in bed by 10 and try to be asleep before 11. If I go to bed around 10:30 I feel SO much better. But in order to do that, I need to start getting into bed closer to 9:30 so I have time to read and relax. I would say I average 7.5 hours, but 8 is the goal. I don't have trouble with falling asleep. It's the staying asleep I can't do. But I try to read before bed to relax and decompress.
- How did you have a healthy pregnancy last week? Soo last week not so good. I have been out on this due to my training that cut into my workout for a freaking month. So last week I got in two 3-4 mile walks with two killer hills. Not my best but definitely something!
- How will you love your body next week? Get my butt back in the gym at work at lunch, get my weights back in help this butt not turn into a rump roast.
- Any recipes or fitness/wellness tips to share? Bring your lunch to work and snacks. I seem to do so much better when I bring everything from home. IF YOU BRING YOU WILL FEEL BAD WHEN YOU DON'T EAT IT. Well that works for me. If you want to incorporate a healthy thing to eat on the way to work. Pre-cut items in baggies for each morning so you can just throw in the blender before running out the door. Make smoothie night before, freeze right away and take out to defrost on the way to work. When work gets in the way of a workout that day or just life in general strive to walk 5-10 flights of stairs up and down through the day 5 times.
- GTKY: What time do you go to bed at night? How many hours of sleep do you usually get? Do you have a pre-bedtime ritual that you thinks helps you get to sleep faster? I go to bed at 8:45 - 9:30. 7 to 8 and half hours of sleep a night. Well get ready for bed and read a book or watch a slow calming show. Now crazy thriller movie or action movie. Also me working out during the day helps me sleep at night and coming home to chase my toddler.
