I have narrowed down my list for potential names for baby boy to about 4. All except one have only one main spelling. The other, Lachlan, has two that I'm considering. According to behind the name, Lachlan is the Scottish spelling and Lochlann is the Irish spelling. I've really only seen Lachlan before. I'm leaning toward using that spelling if I go with the name, though Lochlann looks more phonetic to me so I think that is what is tripping me up. We aren't Scottish at all but we are Irish, though that isn't so important to me. Thoughts?
