Lovetit for sympathy. It's winter here so I haven't struggled with this so far this pregnancy but with DD i was really really swollen. I ended up wearing compression stockings which helped a lot (especially if you're still spending a lot of time lying down).

Sitting at my desk at work seems to be the issue for me. This weekend and last weekend I've been on my feet ALL weekend, and my legs/ankles/feet were fine. During the week after a work day by the time I get home my calves, ankles, and feet are quite stiff and puffy.
I'm drinking a ton of water each day although it's tough to tell if it's helping or not.
lovetruly2015 - I'd keep up with the water. It might take a bit for your body to start regulating how much water it holds on to after birth, but I would think it should get better hopefully soon.
How are you all dealing? Just drinking lots of water. They kinda started to swell in the hospital but it went down. Today they seem huge.
After my CS with DS, my feet and legs swelled up so bad. I guess it's normal and from all the fluids they pump into you during surgery. It will go away in a few days.
+1 to danielle, after my first CS, my legs and ankles were so swollen it was downright scary. Give it a few days, you should probably see it start to go down. Hugs, postpartum is almost worse than the pregnancy itself.
I work on my feet mostly but it is outside a lot in the heat so my ankles swell. I keep my feet up as much as possible and drink a ton of water throughout the day. My doctor said keeping your feet above your head anytime you can.

I sit at a desk most of my day, so I have a paper box under my desk. My feet are already so swollen today. my left foot is always more swollen than my right, should I mention that to my dr?

Drink all the water and since I can't put my feet up at work I basically sit on my ass once DS is in bed.
Something really cool I saw at the bridal shower I went to this weekend. Fill a baby pool up with cold water, throw marbles in there and epsom salt. It was wonderful.

Is your leg or foot red or painful? If not you're probably ok, but it never hurts to mention it to them.
My left leg was getting worse than my right as well and I ended up calling the dr office about it a few times just to cover any potential blood clot concerns. What I ended up being told was that since my leg wasn't red or painful (painful, not just sore/stiff from being puffy) and it got better overnight/after laying down that it wasn't anything to worry about. but to call if it ever got worse or started hurting.
It's more common to have swelling in both legs, but it is possible for one to get worse.

I just asked my friend who is a NP. She said the same thing you did. I don't have any pain or redness and it goes down after I elevate my feet.

I'm in a FB group and a friend of a friend is a PA. When I mentioned the left was worse than the right she asked me all the same questions and even asked me to send her a picture of my legs when the left was bad, and after a night's sleep and came to the same conclusion my dr office and your friend did.
It's frustrating, but I felt so much better after having people confirm that no, it did not look like blood clot swelling. Glad your NP friend is in agreement!
