DH and I met the new fangled modern way: online dating! I had tried match for a while, dated a couple of different guys and once it didn't work out with the last one I decided to try eharmony. DH and I met through that shortly after I joined and the rest is history! It'll be seven years in October since we started dating.
Edit; I tried to change the title, but it won't for some reason.
Trivia Night in grad school through mutual friends. I had bravely introduced myself to the guy in front of me at the grad student bbq. I ended up sitting with him and his friends who were all law students (mh was not there). Later in the week they invited me to trivia. I sat down with my drink and my bbq friend introduced me to everyone at the table. A couple minutes later mh, who had been getting drinks at the bar during the introductions, sat down right next to me. He was hot so I played it cool and the first words out of my mouth were "who the hell are you?". *face palm* He says the first thing he thought was "Wow. I like this girl."
Then we spent the whole year flirting because he thought I was the cool kid and out of his league but I thought he was the cool kid and out of my league. Turns out we're both big geeks and perfect for each other. We finally hooked up at the end of the year after a crazy night out involving karaoke. Jonny B. Goode will always have a soft spot in my heart.

H is my best's friends' husband's best friend. I hope that makes sense. I had just ended relationship #332 and was complaining about guys. My BFF mentioned I would probably get along really well with her BF ( now H's) best friend for various reasons. She arranged a group of our mutual friends ( apparently I had met him once or twice before but I really don't remember) to go see a show on Broadway, we were the only 2 single people going. So we hung out a lot that day.
I really liked him but didn't hear from him after that although we ran into each other a few times at karaoke. So I figured ok he's just not that into me and moved on. A few weeks later he friended me on FB and began messaging me and apologized if he spelt my name wrong because his sister had the same name, which cemented my thought this was going nowhere. He asked me out and a few weeks later we were exclusive. We just celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary and in October it will be 7 years. Sorry for the novel.
DH and I grew up together. His dad was the assistant pastor at the church I grew up in. They moved to town when I was in 5th grade. We didn't start dating until the summer before I started college because it took me forever to figure out I liked him and he was dating someone else until the Christmas before that.
We knew from a few weeks into dating that we were meant for each other. We got engaged in March of my sophomore year (his junior) and married after he graduated. I had 6 credits left so I didn't have to go back full time.
We've been together 11 years, married for 8 and we're only 30 DH) and 28 (me).

DH and I met while I was studying "abroad" in Mexico. My host "mom" was his aunt. A couple of the students that were part of my group were friends of mine and their host "mom" was not only one of our teachers but also DH's mom. The friends that were staying with DH's mom invited me over for lunch one day and DH was there and the rest is history. We are going on 10 years married in December and just celebrated 12 years together this past April. I was only suppose to go to Mexico for the immersion program for 2 months and after a quick 1 month trip home, moved to Mexico and we lived there for 5 years. Circumstances brought us to Northern VA and we've been here for just over 6 years now.

I gave his college roommate a ride home from class the first week of our freshman year. First impression -not impressed with the cranky hungover friend. Andplusalso I was so deep in love with my HS sweetheart.
We became friends over the next few weeks, played lots of drinking games together, and by the spring semester, I had dumped HS sweetheart and me and now-H were drunkenly hooking up on the reg.
Fifteen years later and we still make out every once in a while ;-)
