I agree with the commercials.
I was really hoping Tyrese would have made it back to the rest of the group. I'm wondering why Rick's group didn't cauterize his arm them selves? Did they really drive all that way with out any matches or any way to start a fire?
First of all, do you think they could've had a few more commercials? I think the entire episode was only 11 minutes long, lol.
And Oh.My.God! They couldn't let us recover from losing Beth just a little, huh? Way to kick us when we're down.
And then there's the chopped up bodies. WTAF???
The commercials were EXCESSIVE.
I really wasn't expecting a major character death immediately. I'm not totally surprised it was Tyreese, either. He has made some stupid decisions lately. It's still sad, but I kind of feel like he brought it upon himself.
I seriously have no idea what the chopped up bodies mean...

I mean....they were only 5 miles away and keeping in touch with the rest of the group. But I think Tyreese had bled so much by that point, he didn't really stand a chance.

From what I've read online about the books, the bodies have something to do with who/what is in D.C.
I always watch without commercials the next day. It sucks that Beth has just died and now this. I didn't think it was the best episode but it has to set us up for what's to come. Did anyone watch "better call Saul?."
I was sad when Shane (my favorite) and Dale died. I was really sad when Tyrese died. The music, the talking to dead people he knew, the "Turn it off" radio thing. All made me really sad. No other character has been given a send off like that before. It's usually, they've been bitten, die, that's it! I always liked him for his heart of gold and the fact that he protected Judith. Sure, he wasn't meant for that world, but it's still sad.

I didn't really like the episode. I thought it was overdone, and we skipped commercials. I honestly was not all that bummed about Tyreese. I think I'm still emotionally detached since Beth. It was kind of NBD to me. I honestly would have appreciated an episode dedicated to the aftermath of that event first.
kc83, I recorded Better call Saul, but haven't watched it yet.

The send-off was a little weird to me. It seems like it was just an excuse to bring back some of the actors that happened to be available. Because if he was really going to "see dead people" convincing him that things were better on the other side, wouldn't his girlfriend make an appearance?

I did think to myself why he didn't see his girlfriend. My only reasoning on why he didn't was because he had nothing to do with her death. He witnessed or had something to do with all those people dying. As for his girlfriend, he just saw what was left after her death. That's the only thing I could think of. That or the actress wasn't available.
