I have been MIA for so long. Life is sometimes a shit storm I have learned and work on top of it all is just cruel.
My child is also going through some sort of food regression/strike.....he usually eats anything we have for dinner no matter if its tons of veggies or what. All of a sudden late last week he's just been refusing food left right and center. Even stuff he loves. He is still drinking all his milk though so I have been giving him more ounces than normal to combat less food. I am also SO over the arm windshield that he does to throw off all food from his high chair onto the floor. Also over him throwing his sippy cups/bottles everytime after hes done taking a drink. I know they need less food at this point but I don't want him to go hungry either
Also TheTuna15 Thanks for the giveaway!! Literally made my day I kinda want just a boring pair of black leggings

babys2015 - I hope you guys have/had fun at mini golf! How has sleeping been?
graciest719 - DH cleans the toilet and says the bathroom is clean. Umm no, the toilet is clean. Haha.
malvo - Leaving N for an extended time makes me nervous just thinking about it. I too have an insane boy. He can be shy, for about 1.5 milliseconds.
flat0422 - I LOVE tankinis that tie in the back! Let me know if you have any luck finding one!
@megaugust10 - Sorry for the rough patch.
rvamama - GL with your meeting. And clothes shopping. I'm trying to make TheTuna15 just come style my closet.
ladymike - Write a book and make money off that jerk. He's out of control. Have you seen the crazyjewishmom? Same idea - crazy stuff her mom says, writes a book, makes money!
sjep922 - Yay for new work!! N hates new things lately and has always been a fruit over veggies kid. I just keep offering and every once in a while, he actually eats something new. By once in a while, I mean like once a month.
kfg10427 - I hope your appt tomorrow is much better than last time! N hates the dr in general right now, but she said its normal until about 2.5yo.
maddisonrose - Welcome to my life!! N hates eating and food right now. Kid would live on milk alone if I let him. I'm prepared for the pedi to tell me to cut back on his milk intake to help him be hungry for food, but I ALWAYS offer food first and he refuses. I feel your pain mama!

I'm always MIA on my days home with N. He's so busy! And if you ignore him for too long, he gets bored and throws things. It's frustrating. I also found out yesterday morning that one of my project leads from my previous job didn't wake up yesterday. She died in her sleep at 27. I'm completely heartbroken for her little sister (~9yo) who was her absolute best friend. I'm waiting to get more info as the family gets more. Yesterday was also our last swim class of this session. My kid spent most of the time jumping off of the wall, regardless of if I was ready or not. Funny, yes, but also scary that he loves the water so much that I'm going to have to really watch him this year at the beach. Kid thinks he can swim at 15m old. Umm nope. Today is day 3 of the 21 day fix and I'm feeling awesome. Diet Coke addiction is pretty much broken and whenever I crave a sweet, I go for fruit. It's awesome to be a better example for N and feel good about myself again.

portuguesemama You go girl! The 21 day fix sounds so hard. I'm sorry about your old coworker.
rvamama, Go get you some Bottoms Up pizza while you are downtown! And I may know where you can get some clothes (cough, cough...)
kfg10427, I hope you have a better experience with your pedi this time.
And how did I end up with the insane girl? Jo is a maniac.
Bathroom is so fucking clean it sparkles. But now I'm scowling at the rest of the house. The whole damn thing needs a deep clean. I'm thinking one room a day. Big fun!

I don't know if this has been covered, but if you have a Medela pump laying around, you can go to their website and return it to be recycled. They give you a prepaid shipping label.
maddisonrose, I have a pair in SM if you want them.
Re: veggies. My child is obsessed with them. Potatoes, carrots, zucchini, asparagus. You name it. But she's also a garbage disposal and she'll eat a week old cheerio if she finds it on the ground.
I try to be a calm, relaxed parent.. especially when it comes to eating times. But, that windshield wiper move lights a raging fire in me. STOP. THAT. RIGHT. NOW.

This is me. I just can't be calm any more. Last night I had to push D's chair away from the table and let him face the wall. I felt a bit bad but sorrynotsorry
We found out last night H is now on a night schedule. Fuckin A. Im a little frustrated because we were finally starting to get back to our groove being able to communicate again and now were on opposite schedules. I hope he adjusts to the change quickly. Meh. So meh.
Anyways, another slow day for me. I need to clean the house tonight. I keep putting it off. No motivation!

I think this is a better reaction that some of things I'd rather do, like scream and throw potatoes in her face? LOL. I think it's important to let them experiment for awhile, but .. yeah.. it's going to be interesting teaching normal dining etiquette. Ha!
sjep922 f is usually a good eater but can definitely be picky at times. She likes corn, off the Cobb; green beans are her favorite but now that I think about it I don't think she loves a wide array of veggies either. #fruitalldaylong oh and she'll do anything (almost) in a pouch. Hidden veggies... portuguesemama I didn't make it clothes shopping yet. But I NEED to...also, I used (your advice I think?) and got all the 21 day fix portion and approved list info off Pinterest. Though I haven't worked out much less than housework, I am giving this a go! Day three for me too. Let's me buddies! so sad about your old team member... graciest719 I'm ready. Let's do this! You pm me when you have a sec. I know you are busier than I.
I threatened my bridesmaids that if they didn't get their measurements and deposits in for their dresses by the end of July, they'd be demoted to the audience. That's not brideszilla-ish is it? I just refuse to chase people down. If you can't make it happen, we're moving on without you!
M got her first report of poor behavior at daycare. She apparently is pulling hair and hitting the smaller babies. What do I do? She doesn't have a sibling so we can't practice being nice. She is good with the big kids just not the little kids. How am I supposed to work on this at home?
This makes me so sad! I don't want my baby to be a bad kid.
ETA: They also say she isn't listening. Anyone else's kid not quite understand what "no" means yet?
ETA 2: SO says I'm overreacting and thinks it's funny. He's now calling her "Baby Rebel." Sigh...

malvo love tit for commiseration. I'm beginning to side eye parents who say their kids genuinely understand no and general "disciplines" at this age. I've said no firmly and softly, ive distracted, ive done hugs and explaining why we don't do things with soft words and all my kid does is giggle and go right back to doing it. Or throws his entire body backwards into a fit which results in him hitting his head.
I'm But another note... Declan was pulling a girls hair at daycare and then one day she bit him and he has never done it again. I hope M doesn't get bitten, but maybe the babies will teach her no somehow??
malvo does she have a baby doll you can try and teach her nice with? E knows no but just laughs and it doesn't affect her until we make her move and she cries from us finally moving her.
Hi friends. Having the laziest lazy day ever over here but actually feeling a bit bad about it. Took the big kid to vacation bible school. Watched some OITNB and took a nap. Tried on a swim suit I bought w/o trying on at the store. Ha.. I should have at least run some laundry through or something :/ I was telling myself I'd make up for it by going to the gym tonight but I just saw that the instructor I love has a sub that I don't enjoy. So nope, not going. Someone motivate me.

The feeding the dog drives me completely BONKERS!! N will literally give her everything. He will even spit out what is in his mouth so she can eat it.
And he laughs when I say no too. I'm right with maddisonrose - I've tried everything to get him to understand and nothing works yet.
LesleyEO - Call it a mental health day and try again tomorrow
malvo - I need to stick together with M15, but I'm with your SO. There's not much you can do and it happens so often. It's not just M. Try to work on being gentle with a doll, or a pet, but it's just going to take some time for her to better understand.
