We go at 10am today for an ultrasound! It's going to be so amazing to actually heard BabyKs heartbeat. After that meeting with a flooring place to pick new floors out.

Why did they decide to exit?? And why did the prime minister resign??
Cameron was pro staying, so it makes sense that he resigns. The parenting thread on this has quite a bit of detail, but when push comes to shove, I feel this was an emotional vote against immigration.
My brother and sister in law live in London, I'm curious to chat with them soon. So crazy. Anyone here in the UK? How are you doing with all this?
Today we have a pretty low key day planned. Homemade pizza for dinner, long walk and a nap when DS naps. He was up at 230 last night, which he hasn't done in weeks. I guess I should be getting used to the interrupted sleep right?
We told the in laws last night about baby #2. They aren't big "reactors", so I'm trying not to take it personally that pretty much all they said is "really? We probably won't be here for the birth (they go south for the winter)" lol They have a great and loving, almost obsessive, relationship with DS so I'm sure once baby is here, they will be thrilled. I hope anyways lol
I had no idea all this was going on in the UK until last night. Now I'm a little worried about our investments, the housing market, interest rates, etc. Kinda scary when we're building a house that is double the value of our current one. I'm not sure exactly how/if this Brexit thing could affect us. On a positive note, I called to make an appt with my new doctor yesterday and they require you to come for the confirmatory appt before scheduling the 8 week ultrasound. So, I have an appt at 1 today! I know it's a nothing appt but at least I get to poas (well, a cup) again to make sure everything is still good. Then, I can schedule my ultrasound, woohoo! Happy Friday everyone!!
I can't believe Britain is leaving the EU. I've been trying to follow as much as I can, and honestly didn't think they'd vote Leave. But... wow...
And I couldn't agree more with the immigration/Islamophobia comment, PepperPottsJ . Curious what you're family members will say about all this, ktl23 .

Still sick. You know it's true love when YH doesn't mock you for going around with rolled up kleenex plugged up your nostrils.
I am also sporting the fancy kleenex-up-the-nose look. H hasn't commented (he knows that it's just my sick thing) but my kid ripped it out and laughed. Jerk.
I'm so happy I'm not the only adult that sticks tissues up my nose when I'm sick! I recently stumbled upon the parenting board... it sounds like it's an intimidating board to post on?? I'm glad I didn't post now!

Wow, early appointments already--exciting! I called to schedule an appointment and they won't see me until the end of July. I'm not patient enough for this.

It's sad that I didn't even know that Brexit was a thing. I saw the thread in Parenting and assumed it was a TV show or something. Then this morning a friend of mine from Britain is posting on fb. I guess I've been too caught up in crazy American politics to pay attention to the stuff overseas!
... gotta schedule a wisdom tooth removal for my 14-year-old.. already? o.O I've decided that I am officially insane for agreeing with my hubby to try for a boy when two of our girls are starting high school.. and two are working on potty training.

Must not cry over lunch. My husband said maybe he'd drop off a meatball sub to me today, then changed and said lets meet at firehouse subs in an area of town I hate for lunch ( because it's so confusing and tons of construction.) So I have google maps talking me through it and when I get to the exit it's closed and the reroute says I have to drive 12 MILES in to the country on the i-state before I could turn around and drive 12 miles back. It took me 45 minutes total to get back to work, and I didn't even get lunch. So dh said he'll bring me a sandwich, and I realize it's a sweet Italian. I'm being a whiny baby but I don't want sweet, sounds nauseating right now, and I'm trying not to eat lunch meat! Ravenous and done with the crazy post. Happy Friday.
The Brexit thing is certainly stirring a lot up. I'm on the fence about it. I think it definitely has a lot to do with immigration. However, I think that each nation should be able to control immigration in their own way, and if they didn't agree with the way the EU was handling it, they have a right to withdraw. I know it's more complicated than that, but on that front, those are my feelings.
As for me, DD has been feeling bad last night/today. No fever, but she is so congested and threw up last night. She's coughing a lot and not sleeping well. She was up at 10, 2, and 5 last night. I tried taking a nap during her morning nap, but she didn't sleep long enough!
Is it wrong at 5w3d to already want to put my maternity pants back on?! This bloat is causing my favorite pair of jeans to not fit anymore!!!
if it is, then I'm in the "wrong" camp, too. Maternity pants are awesome!
I'm fascinated and terrified about Brexit. Fascinated because there's so much to it, so many pros and cons on each side. Terrified, because aside from the European Union aspect, the immigration argument gives a feeling of foreboding for our upcoming election.
On another note, my nausea seems to be gone- at least today- and it's freaking out my pgal brain. POAS, still positive, so that's good. And I'm eating all the pineapple I can find.
