If I make it through first tri without killing my husband, it's going to be a miracle. He's done less even than usual around the house while I've been sick and exhausted. He cleaned the kitchen once so that he could smoke a piece of meat and destroy the kitchen again and leave it for me to clean up. The living room floor hasn't been vacuumed in two weeks because I can't get all of the toys and everything picked up before I feel sick again or DS dumps them all out again and DH refuses to help. Just now I asked him if he was going to get a shower so we could accomplish something today, and he said, "Yeah, and what are you going to do?"
I'M GOING TO SIT HERE AND TRY NOT TO PUKE OR FALL ASLEEP WHILE MAKING A HUMAN AND KEEPING THE OTHER ONE FROM KILLING HIMSELF, JERK.
geekmama, I have had exactly those moments with DH over the last several weeks! Our house it's usually kept clean but always a little messy ( because 2 full time jobs, a 3 yr old, and DH isn't tidy. At. All). As I sit the sofa, the living room is littered with a weeks worth of toys and hasn't been vaccumed for 2 weeks either. Even to me it's kind of gross.
DH has tried to be understanding and not get mad at how little I've been able to do beyond taking care of DS. But on the occasions he's been snarky he's really got it! Thankfully, first tri symptoms are beginning to wane.
Besides not doing housework, were taking DS for his swimming lesson soon then heading to the county fair. He is so excited! I'm just hoping it isn't too hot and the smell of the food trucks doesn't make me puke...

H and I have had those arguments frequently, geekmama, so I completely understand. But I did come home late yesterday to find that he'd picked up the living room! I mean, the laundry ended up just piled on our bed but at least it looked cleaner. And last week, when he and my dad were waiting for the AC guys to come give us a quote for a new unit, they did the dishes. Progress is slowly being made.
I'm so sleepy. I woke up in the middle of the night to pee and preggo-somnia kicked in and said "fuck you" to me sleeping. About the time I finally started drifting back to sleep, DS came in and hopped in bed with us. Not to sleep, just to play games on H's phone (puzzle games) and tell me about every single animal. And then he proceeded to dial 911 >.< So that was great. Andplusalso, I hate working weekends. On the plus side, the high is only supposed to be 97*F today!

I had a banana bread bagel this morning, it was so good. Yay to officially being able to eat whatever I want and not worrying about being low carb anymore. H went to pick up 3 things at target, target is 5 maybe 10 minutes away. He has been gone for 40 minutes now. I'm really hoping I can kick this headache today. Chugging tons of water.

Good afternoon. I have done nothing but sleep today. My sister is being the most helpful and amazing person on the planet. She has been cleaning and hanging out with DS since 6:30. I have finally removed myself from bed. I even put a bra on! We are going to go outside and play with bubbles and the water table now. Hope everyone's having a good day!

Aww sorry tmclawchick home buying is so hard these days. We put in five or six offers before we landed this one.
Sorry to everyone with less-than-helpful partners. I really struck gold with this one. He's cleaner than me! He hates a messy kitchen so that is always tidy, and I make sure all the toddler toys are away every night. Just those two things make a big difference.

I am about to wake up DS from his nap and throw him in the car and drive for 45 minutes. One of my good friends is moving to North Carolina & today is the going-away party. It's hot as balls out but the host has a pool so we might take advantage of that.
I'm really sad that she's leaving she was really the core of my knitting group and it's already starting to fray since the rest of us have kids and jobs etc. She's the only person I know locally that went through infertility treatment and was such a good ear when I was struggling.
Ooh ooh, we're going to the drive in theater tonight to see Finding Dory and the new Captain America. We haven't been to the drive in since the summer after DS was born, since he would sleep or nurse the whole time. It was so easy! Here's hoping it's not a disaster with a 2 year old!

That sounds so fun, I haven't been to the drive in in forever! FX DS does well!

tmclawchick, boooo that blows. We put three offers on three different houses and lost them all. But we ended up with the perfect house so it all works out!
