I don't know what that is but I'm guessing deep fried deliciousness?
What?! Totally amazing, buttery soft pretzels. And now I need one.
A much better description than "greasy butter drenched hot pretzels". I want to know how they make them so soft and airy compared to the more bready hot pretzels of sporting events, gas stations, etc.

mmm. Auntie Anne's. I used to work at a pizzeria in the mall food court and we'd always trade with the other stores - Auntie Anne's, Taco Bell, Arby's, nomnomnom

peaseblossom55, hooray! Glad appointment went well!! So excited for you! ashtog, no chipotle?! That's literally my number one craving right now. Canada fascinates me. I really want to go one day.
I had my bloodwork drawn today and I'm soo exhausted. I already put DD to bed and am contemplating bed myself.
Wow that's awesome! Does she go to bed this early every day? Mine goes down at 8.
She usually goes to bed by 7 and is up at 7. She didn't have a good afternoon nap so I figured I'd put her down early. FX she doesn't get up too early tomorrow!
Monday has redeemed itself! DS is in bed and I've managed to clean the place up and vacuum. Mh is working late so I already took the trash and recyclables out so he doesn't have to tonight. It feels good to get some stuff done around here after having such a miserable morning.
It's been awhile since I've checked in... OB intake tomorrow and I'm hoping to talk the nurse into using the doppler to find the heartbeat.
We went to visit MIL and sit with her during chemo on Friday. I'm glad we went because she was really down on THursday night (when we arrived) because her hair started falling out. Up until that point she was able to pretend she didn't have cancer. I had included a cute cotton head covering that she loved and while she didn't need it yet it was perfect timing.
I spent a lot of the weekend trying to distract her with talk about baby plans which helped but also drove me crazy. If I mentioned a bassinet she said "We used a portable crib" (they have a one story ranch we have a two story house) she asked if we wanted a month of diaper service and seemed shocked that we would use disposables. I showed her Pinterest pins for the nursery (mostly soft neutral colors) and she said "We had a circus themed nursery and used bright colors to stimulate him." It wasn't an argument or even a criticism, but I don't think she has had any exposure to the parenting world for about 20 years and she seems shocked at everything that has changed. I came home from the weekend exhausted from playing nice. lol
Don't get me wrong I really like DH's parents, but they are really different from my family and I'm still getting used to the different dynamic.
Survived night one of vacation Bible school. Rewarded myself with the musical episode of Buffy. Talked DH into doing some of my prep for tomorrow night. Win-win-win.

aprilz81, It took me so long to adjust to H's family. I didn't grow up with family closer than 5 hours away and basically no money to visit so being introduced to 80% of his family all living here was a huge culture shock for me. They're noisy, talkative, randomly break out into song/break out musical instruments. It was basically like a huge TV family except real. I still feel a little awkward at family events and it's been like, 8 years.
Even though I'm only 9 weeks, I had to get a maternity uniform for work. I couldn't breathe in the regular uniform, even in the biggest size (16). Now everyone knows, which I wasn't really prepared for. But at least the dress is super comfy and cute.

We went out for pizza for lunch at the office today & then my H made pizza for dinner. Double pizza! I'm not complaining but it shouldn't be a regular occurrence.
I'm kicking myself for deciding to go to work tomorrow. We leave for our trip to visit my family on Wednesday and my H was planning to work tomorrow but that fell through. But I am going to be super stressed trying to finish packing. I have about half of it done and I dug out my passport and DS birth cert, so at least I won't be frantic about those tomorrow

this this this. It is so frustrating! The Smile and Nod approach is something I'm still working on and I agree, EXHAUSTING!
