I am so so so happy it's back!! I'm still sad about Beth (most of yall didn't like her if I remember right) but seeing Darryl that sad just killed me. But that's because I love him. Anyways so this episode was beautifully done I thought. It was so not typical WD but the way Tyreese would come in and out of the hallucinations was intense. It was so emotional and up and down. Is he gonna die? No..wait maybe yes..no maybe not...
When they stopped the van at the end I had a knot in my throat Two main characters gone in two episodes what are they doing to me !! IMaybe anxious to see what unfolds now I think the groups general mood is going to be different...

I'm still shocked they killed someone off so quickly! It makes me wonder what the season finale has in store!

It was definitely a great episode, I loved that they brought back some old characters during Tyrese's struggle to fight to live. I think Chris Hardwick is on to something - anyone with the moral compass seems to get axed.

I didn't really like Tyreese anyway, so that didn't bother me. I was more upset about Beth. That ep was trippy though!

I loved this episode. I liked Tyrese ok but I've said for a while that his attitude was going to get him killed & it did. I loved how they shot the episode too. The beginning scenes were just beautiful cinematography I thiught.

This Noah guy is really screwing things up for the group. Essentially, he's the reason 2 of our people are dead. I'm just wondering if Sasha is going to resent him because they only went to that town for him and could have avoided Tyreese dying.

Also, I found it interesting and very out of character for Michonne to be so adamant about staying in one place and not wanting to move around. She is never that vocal and has always been ok with moving.

They sure did kick the 2nd half off with a bang!

I mentioned this on another board, but it reminded me of Red Wedding/Purple Wedding, but with a lower body count

As for the moral compass--he's right.  I didn't watch Talking Dead but he's right.  The show gives you hope and takes it away.  Anyone who is a beacon (Hershel, for example) is a prime target because really--how much hope is there in this kind of situation?  The lines between moral and corrupt are completely blurred.  If you fall sharply on one side of that line or the other, the outcome is not going to be good.

I loooved the episode!

I feel like Ty was a reminder of what it takes to still maintain your humanity. He was always a beacon of hope, and a moral compass of sorts. This show is exceptionally good at giving you hope and then ripping it away.

I loved the artsy shots. They were all glimpses of whats to come, and like Bob said, it went the way it had to. We never know which way its going to go, but those opening shots gave us a look. They way they tied it all in with the radio, it was fabulous.

I figured Ty's leniency would do him in one day. I'm sad that it was in this way: bitten by the twin brother of his friend, the guy he was trying to protect and comfort. Real nice poetry there.

Dead Governor is awesome. Dead Lizzy is still creepy. Dead Beth is still annoying as fuck. Hey lady, someone's already done Mary Poppins so you can stop now!
Actually, I think the Gov had some really good (if harsh) words for Tyrese.

If the moral compass thing holds true I'm a little worried for Michonne. I don't want to see her become complacent and bitten.

Really sucks to be Maggie and Sasha right now.

Hmmm I think Michonne is safe.  If she were a gamer, she'd be Chaotic Neutral or Chaotic Good.  If she has something to fight for, she's going to fight for it.  If she's on her own or doesn't feel connected, she's a little more unpredictable (I think because she has to "turn herself off" to survive).  Especially in terms of authority or power, I think that the way she handled the Gov or even Andrea/Gov (vs Rick) puts her Chaotic Neutral.

Ty was Lawful Good.  Aint no room for that in the zombie apocalypse.
