Hi new BMB! I just found out today I am pregnant with #2! Still reeling but excited. Based on date of conception EDD is 2/25. #1 was born in Dec '14 and theJ15 BMB (I thought it would be w Jan baby) was/is still a great spot for support and company. I'm looking forward to commiserating with and getting to know you all as we gestate together
I will be a second time mom. Both pregnancies have been a little earlier in life than I imagined when I was younger. I'll be 28 when this new baby gets here, if he or she chooses to do so. 2 while still under 30 kind of makes my head spin but I feel grateful things have worked out this way.
I've been with DH .. Or I guess DB? Dear BF? But he's more of an H (35 yo) for 6.5 years. We're planning to elope in a romantic fashion sometime this summer/fall. We do everything kind of backwards, but it works for us.
We live in Brooklyn, NY, hence bkmama, though I am from Atlanta and both of our families still live there. I have a kind of rocky relationship with my family, so being far away - emotionally and distance-wise - from family is hard. I am also young by NYC standards for motherhood so don't have many friends with kids here to relate to. So these BMBs are where I get all my baby chat out so non-kid-having friends/coworkers don't have to be freaked out by it
I am a working mom and am pushing ahead in my career while striving to be the best parent I can be. It's a lot to balance- & NYC is a crazy place to try this- but so far so good.
Looking forward to getting to know you all.
