My kid has gotten up 3-4 times/ night the last two weeks. He was getting up once. Ears and teeth are a mess. I'm so tired. I'm sitting at work and trying to see my screen...

Rant: I ordered the blue dress for the bachelorette party on 2/4 (in the morning) and had it shipped to the store so I didn't have to pay shipping or deal with side-eye from H when he sees a package come in. It said the dress will arrive in 4-7 days, but didn't specify if it was business or calender days. Well almost a week later and the website says the order is completed, but it's still pending shipment. WTH, it's been almost a freaking week since I've placed my order and it still hasn't shipped.
It's a rant kinda day...where'd the sunshine go. becole night wakings ugh I don't know how I could wake up that much and still go to work. mrscatfarmer13 yay for the blue dress but boo for delayed shipping. I hardly get anything shipped unless it's Amazon I'm so spoiled by the prime shipping.
I've not slept through the night since he was born. We have had weeks of getting up once per night, but always sickness gets in the way. We have done Ferber, suffered through lots of crying and tears and still, no sleep in this house. It's torture. And I've worked full time since he was 4 months.

OMG! I'm so sorry to hear that. I won't complain about sleep.
Today was LO first day at daycare. I am fighting the urge to call them... not to mention I'm picking her up early.

becolemominthemaking14 JCP just called me and told me it's ready for pickup, but my order still says pending shipment... Hopefully I get a survey for them.
mominthemaking14--oh girl I'm sure that was so difficult to do! I would call if it makes you feel better. I'm sure they're used to it and understand;) We'll miss you on Wednesday!
A very creepy man at the store this morning asked to see my baby (I had her covered in the stroller) I told him no she's not feeling well. Then he says, "but I LOOOVE babies" I'm sure you do, and I walked away. Ugh! I actually waited to leave the store until someone was walking out too because he happened to be going down the same isles as us for a bit.
@mominthemaking you would be in the minority if they didn't hear from you on Los first day! Call! I always try to really be easy with them because I want the relationship to be good so that they will love on Lo, but ultimately we pay them and should get what we need from them. It's a fine balance. But setting the scene early with what is acceptable and what is not (regarding naps, schedules, feeding) will help them know you mean business.
#1 - We went to visit my inlaws this weekend, and LO had a tooth start to cut through while we were there. Our 5 hour trip home turned in to 7 hours because he was so miserable. We stopped once to get Motrin for him, and 3 or 4 more times just to get him out of his seat and calm him down. I felt so bad for him. He never cries like that. And then it was 10:30 before we got home, luckily it was time for another dose of Motrin at that point, and he slept really well after that.
#2 - We love our daycare center. But they have such a high turn over in the infant room that I'm starting to wonder if it's actually a terrible place to work. A little over a month ago the lead teacher in the infant room no-call-no-showed. And they still haven't replaced her, so there was only one infant room teacher after that, and she was almost brand new at that point. Then on Friday, we got an email that she had left early, and they just wanted us to be aware of the change in routine. Turns out, she's not coming back. They told DH this morning that she left because she got a different job, but it sounds to me like she walked out without giving any notice. IMO, you don't do that unless you really hate your employer. I really want to say something about it when I pick him up today, but I need to find a nice way to say "Hey why do your teachers hate you so much?"

I know! Going to miss you guys. We'll have to do another class together soon.
Similar to the grocery store creeper, I had a lady at church I've never talked to before ask if she could kiss lo. I said no, he has an ear infection, we don't want to share germs. But wth. Get outta here with that.
With the daycare rant- our last daycare was like that- different teachers every couple weeks- other teachers were always filling in. I didn't like any of them. They always seemed to not know what they were doing, didn't seem physically capable of handling all those babies. We changed daycares and haven't had any issues since. It's not fair for lo to suffer having to have some person learn his cries/ needs every other week. It's been so much better since switching. I think the other place really underpaid their employees and got the bottom of the barrel teachers who were just there until they could get something else. And yes, several were no shows, or just never came back. And the daycare wasn't really training the newbies very much either. I think it was poorly managed as well. I would get somewhere more stable if possible. Ask about turnover and how long the teachers have been there.

*snip*
WUT?
People love babies so I can see asking a stranger to look at your baby, but kissing stanger's babies. Nope, nope, nope, not ok.

mominthemaking14 glad you survived. Funny that your MIL said something about leaving her all day. That's the point of daycare.
I can't wait until daycare. I left LO with MIL today and she gave her a 6 oz bottle. I know she's a big eater but 6 oz is rediculous. I told her specifically 4 oz. I'm going to pre make the bottles next time.

Ikr! I'm still on leave but gheez can I get a break.
6 oz OMG... I can only imagine your face when you heard that.
I can just tell you the first few weeks of daycare you will see things on their paper that you don't like- naps, bottle spacing. Seems like no day is ever perfect. But just give it some time for them to get used to your lo. Now he rarely has anything off. But we still have something weird occasionally. Like today he had his bottles at 9 and 2. It was weird but he was starving she said so he got his bottle early. Other times his naps will be early or late. I mostly don't say anything unless it happens more than once.

No rant here today. I got my hairs did which I love. I have super thick curly hair so I pay every couple of weeks to get it straightness for me. Sooo worth it.

I wasn't around much yesterday because I was downtown for meetings. Which brings me to my rant...
I had a 2pm meeting scheduled with one other person who is 2 levels above me on the food chain. It was to discuss my professional development. I showed up at 1:55pm and her office was empty and the light was off. Went and sat in the small lobby area. Walked back by at 2pm, still nothing. Again at 2:05pm, nothing. Again at 2:10pm, she then strolls by and says, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I forgot about our meeting."
Seriously! I get so ragey when people are late. It makes me go crazy. At least she still met with me and gave me some good advice. But still, I wanted to give her some advice in return.
