There are at least six clean loads of clothes on my bedroom floor. I'm really good at doing the laundry but not folding it. It's like a pregnancy aversion.
I have almost no desire to BF this baby. I've had a terrible experience with DS1 and while I did better with DS2 and made it four months I still had low supply. I just don't see how its realistic to maintain the whole feed, supplement, pump, cycle while still being able to effectively take care of a newborn, 15 month old and 3 year. My FFFC is that I will probably just stop when my milk dries up and be done with it...and I don't even feel that bad this time.
My first I was determined to EBF for at least a year (didn't happen obviously) but that is how much my attitude about it has changed in just a few short years :/

elisef, hey, you feed your babies and that's all that matters. I also struggled to BF my DS and although I do plan on trying again, it doesn't make you any less of a kick ass mother for not wanting to. You do what's best for you and your family!

I'm actually totally with you, I had a similar experience with DD. I just remember when I finally gave up and switched to formula such a weight was lifted from me. I will try again but I'm not going to let it destroy me this time.
elisef a happy mom means a happy baby and a fed baby is a happy baby. Don't feel guilty for the changing views, I think that's what parenting is all about. ETA: words
My kid had a 101 fever yesterday and runny nose. But she was acting normally, today her fever is down to 99, but I still took her to daycare. Technically she should have been fever free for 24 hrs. But I don't care. I'm sure she got sick from another parent bringing their kid in, it's a vicious cycle.
I also really want to succeed at bf'ing but part of me is like we should just go straight to ff'ing. I'm a sleep whore and the thought of me solely doing the motn feedings again really sucks. I'm setting small goals this time.

I'm totally side-eyeing you.
Side eye away, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has done this.

Of course you're not the only. Still side-eye worthy. As a teacher it's hard seeing kids come sick and it's frustrating seeing the illness get past around (and catch it yourself) when it could be prevented by keeping kids home when they're ill.

I get what you are saying. But if my kid doesn't have a fever in the morning and no other real sick symptoms (except a runny nose which every freaking kid at DC has), am I supposed to keep her home again? I seriously do not have enough sick/vacation days to do that.

I get it. I have the same dilemma when one of our girls gets a random fever. But yeah, runny nose is nbd but a fever should be kept at home until cleared 24 hours. I've had lots of kids come in with 99 and spike midday but by that time they've already spread it around and are feeling miserable.

I still stand by my decision, it sucks I know especially as a teacher to deal with that. And even though I would love to stay home with her again today, it's just not an option to take another day off at work. If only workplaces would offer more sick day options.

peaseblossom55, the bride from this weekends wedding is posting up a storm since WEDNESDAY, 3 days, 2 days haha look at this fancy suite and blah blah blah. Yay you, the rest of us are at work, keep it down so we can afford to attend your party. I'm bitter.

Yeah that was me... I definitely stared posting a few days before.

I totally get you. Employers are just not sympathetic to sick days for kids. We do the best we can, and sometimes the calls are tough to make. I'd probably have done the same. Things should be different, but the reality is that working moms catch no breaks, at least in my field.
Side eye away, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has done this.
You know why this really sucks? Because the teachers get sick too. Teachers like me who are tried of parents who DGAF about bringing their sick kids in.
