Or Friday. We're off to do Canada Day things today. Friends BBQ, parade, kids playing in the sprinklers, fireworks later tonight. Should be a good day if my nausea can eff off. I made a BLT pasta salad and it made me feel gross but I want to try it later. Also made a Canadian cake. No judging my frosting skills, maple leafs are hard, yo!
We had a horrible night. L was up from 2-4 and again from 4:30-5:30. I think he caught DD's nasty cold. If so, this will be a true test for his ears bc in the past all of his colds ended in ear infections.
On a positive note, we are perfecting going down at nap and bedtime drowsy but awake. He is becoming a little pro at it. I just wish he could do it in the middle of the night. One day, it will happen one day!
littleredfish, nice cake!! littleowl913, boo - I love tapas, too bad they weren't great. Peach Sangria though sounds amazing. fuzzylogic, all the caffeine to you lady (are you one of the crazy people who don't like coffee??) -- what exactly is on a cajun buffet?

Unrelated to the daily post, but as I'm packing my diaper bag for 2 children I'm realizing how much stuff I'm going to have to pack for 3. I've seen the Ju.Ju.Be BFF diaper bag and I'm in love with everything about it (besides the price) and I'm wondering if anybody here has a diaper bag rec or know of another less expensive bag that is similar. I'm mainly attracted to the way the side zipper opens up the whole bag so you can grab stuff on the bottom without emptying the entire bag.

I have the BFF that I got on clearance from BuyBuyBaby and with a coupon it was under $100. They have this one on clearance now.

We are hammering out a morning nap routine which involves me drinking coffee in peace, and hopefully able to be more active on the boards again! LO was attached to my nipples all night long. She's been working on her bottom two teeth so comfort nursing all night. Even when she wasn't nursing, she was fondling my boobs in her sleep. That girl loves her boobs.
winogirl, yeah, I'm the anti-coffee girl. I do fine until about lunch. I have these little 8oz real sugar Pepsi's that I found at the store. It's enough for me. But I can tell caffeine just isn't doing for me what it used to. Might need to do iced tea. It has more caffeine.
Cajun buffet -- fried chicken, jambalaya, red beans and rice, etoufees of all kinds, gumbo, blackened pork chops, blackened chicken alfredo, bread pudding, cornbread, greens, mac and cheese...and they come around with these fried catfish strips and mustard sauce that is just to die for. And beignets. It's just so good. I can't wait.

Do you love it? I'm so tempted.
ETA: can't get this one, they don't ship to Canada.

I have a JJ Cole Caprice and love it. I can fit 2 bottles in each side pocket or 2 toddler cups in each side. I use one inner pocket for baby diapers and I inner pocket for toddler ones. During the winter I had 2 spare outfits for the baby, 1 for the toddler plus a packet of wipes, receiving blankets, snacks, books/toys for toddler, formula container and my wallet and kids. It has outer zipped pockets that holds my Chapstick, hand sanitizer, hand cream, mints etc. I got it last summer on Amazon for 30 something on sale. I think it's about $65 in stores?

Hi everyone- happy Canada day to you ladies up north. Day 2 of FL vaca. We went to the beach. It wasn't great for C. So many damn shells. Literally, all shells. Not even sand, just pieces of shells. He did love the water though. So we were only there like an hour.

I had a full day of running errands and cleaning and the rest of the weekend is filled with parties. DD1 is going to be one happy camper seeing all her friends this weekend!
We are having a party here on Monday and now I'm kind of thinking what did we get ourselves into. We got back Wednesday night and then my husband worked today and does Saturday and Sunday as well.

In that panick mode of trying to get something done before vacation. It won't happen though because I needed to squeeze in a pump and I'm leaving promptly at 5. Traffic is horrendous so it will probably take me an hr to get home. DH decided to work late, so luckily I called because he didn't tell the nanny. Men.

Anyone else's baby wake up in a pool of pee fairly often? Am I not putting the damn diapers on right? I don't do diaper changes motn, so she's wearing the same one almost 12 hours. I guess that's the problem? Typing that out I thought, whoa...that's a long time
5 losses (2003, 2008, 03/12, 11/12, & 10/16) All RPL testing by several REs = all normal
All IF testing by several REs = all normal 5 IUIs (2014) = BFN

We go through a couple of diapers at night. But we're in cloth, I don't know how that compares to disposables. The only time she actually wakes up in a puddle of pee is if we use certain all in ones, but rarely do workhorses or prefolds in covers leak, unless we don't get the cover on right.

This was happening to us a lot too until someone on here mentioned overnight diapers. We use the huggie ones and there's a big difference.

We are using Pampers Baby Dry for overnight because they hold more. Those suckers weigh a ton by morning, but no leaks, and he is dry enough to be comfortable.
We use baby dry as well and have never had an issue. I did notice though for us they tend to run a little smaller than the other ones so I size up for nighttime.
