Baby Greyson screamed out as he was born at 11:30 this morning. He's 13.5" long and 1lb 13oz. Mama is recovering from her c/s and resting! I'm totally crying happy tears over here!
coleybug13 i think it was you that was looking for milk alternatives, right? Can I ask what you decided to use and why?
My dads new theory on P's ear infections is that hes allergic to milk. I thought how could that happen if he shows no other symptoms of a milk allergy? Weve never suspected a milk allergy before. But ive been reading stories just like P, the day they stopped BM/FM, the ear infections started. The day they changed milks, it stopped. Im intrigued, its worth a shot.
portuguesemama so glad baby is doing okay! Keep us posted on his journey!
ruemorgan sorry P isn't feeling well!! glad the Motrin helped though! Yes we decided no Cow milk and have been using coconut milk. Row likes it okay but she's still nursing (like full on every 3 hours) so she doesn't drink too too much of it. She likes it ok but I think the real test will be when we wean from nursing!
portuguesemama, yay for mama and baby! Our toys get cleaned up once a week.. when my mom babysits. LOL. I'm not lazy, I swear. But she's just gonna keep tearing them back out, so.. ?
sjep922 hope you are chillin' (literally!) in a cool house by now!
ruemorgan, we do almond milk, though only a few ounces a day. And yogurt. I'm sensitive to wcm and it's just not something we drink. It's not a crazy theory if you decided to cut it out for a week or so and see what happens? Plenty of other foods can provide the nutrients from milk, so I wouldn't worry too much, but you could ask pedi, too.
ladymike yeah, we have 20 days until his appointment with the ENT. I was thinking that might be enough time to atleast try and see what happens. I just have no idea what milk to substitute with. We still havent introduced any nuts, so i dont think almond milk would be a good choice at this moment.

Coconut is closest to cows milk in nutrients, I believe, and the flavor is mild.. he might accept that easily. Almond is a second in terms of nutrients. Soy is most popular but I'm not a fan of soy in general. I'd say do some research and see what feels good to you.
N did well today and I was honestly happy to not only have a day away that wasn't work, but she got to spend time with other family. So, that's always important, too. I got cranky by end of the day.. just tired and ready to see her again. I love my kid. Always good to have adult time but I'd spend everyday with her if I could. We went to about 8 different wineries, an awesome lunch, and no drama. Everyone was cool and we just had a good time. Hope we can make it a regular kind of thing. It's a nice way to spend the day and see places in our own area that we don't normally think to go.
So, I'm exhausted and we're Netflixing SNL for a bit. Lots of 4th activities the rest of the weekend!
Got P to sleep despite the neighbors setting off fireworks in front of your house. Now I just hope he stays asleep.
Ive given up on the idea of painting this weekend, P has been way too cranky and clingy. However, I have managed to purge a lot of his clothes. I cant believe how much he has grown! Im going to try selling his clothes to a consignment shop so i can get 18m clothes for him. He has like 4 outfits that fit right now, sigh.
