It's raining. So much for going to the beach this morning. We are just chilling in the house. M had a good night, he actually slept really well and when he woke, he would eat then go right back to sleep. And Jo, who skipped her afternoon nap, actually slept until 7:30 which is a miracle.
We over shipped so they let most of us go home, and we still get holiday pay! I finally broke down and made a doctors appointment for myself, this pain is no joke. W is still having an upset tummy, he is teething again and had his shots. I'm thinking we may take him to carenow to get checked out.
graciest719 love tit for Jo sleeping. Its not rainimg here yet but I am SO happy with how cool it is. It can rain all it wants if we can just pretend like ots not summer for a day...
kfg10427 love tit for holiday pay! I hope you and W both feel better soon
We decided to go ahead and treat P as if he has a milk protein allergy until he sees the ENT. Day 1 is going pretty well so far. Im also going to use this as a chance to cut back on milk(substitute) in general because his intake has always been on the high end and honestly probably drank too much to begin with. He doesnt eat a lot of food, so i excused it, but i realize i was probably enabling him to choose milk over food because i give in so easy.
ruemorgan thank you! I just worry about W, I am used to pain. After back surgery my neurosurgeon said I'd have pain to some degree for the rest of my life, I'm just not used to it being so severe. Walking shouldn't be difficult, and it is currently.

Thays rough. I hope your dr can help you find a way to lessen the pain
Morning. We mowed the lawn this morning. 1st time e was out with us. She stayed in her stroller but kept waving bye to the grass.
2 days in a row she has fallen asleep in her crib for nap time with no issues.
kfg10427 I hope the dr can help you some. My hb has been dealing with back pain. More muscle pain then anything. I found some muscle pain stuff and it helped a bunch last night.
ruemorgan I think what you're doing with p is a great idea. I was thinking of taking dairy back out of f's diet as much as possible again because she's had mushy poop for a week now. kfg10427 are you able to see a chiropractor? Mine helped me a lot, but I've never had surgery and am not sure exactly what ails you.
It's a rainy day at the river. I'm hoping it clears later so we can enjoy the time here instead of being cooped up in the house. F slept great until about 5, but because I was trying to keep her quiet I let her use me as a paci as long as I could.
I'm thinking I may start weaning her, but then I get all the feels about it so I don't know...
Im debating selling one set of couches we have. Even if we are able to move into a bigger house, we dont use both sets of couches as is. If we have that extra room, i think id rather make it a toy room so when we transition P to a toddler bed he cant play with his toys at night. Idk. I dont want to regret selling it. But why keep something we dont use at all over the next 5 months.

graciest719 - Rain at the beach is the best after a few days in the hot sun! We seem to always have at least one rain day in our beach week and we typically go grocery shopping and then stay in and watch movies and play games. Doesn't work much with a toddler though, I suppose?
kfg10427 - I hope that you and W start feeling better soon! If you have time in your schedule at all, I'd highly recommend seeing a PT. They can give you stretches for your hips and legs (which are always tight in everyone) and strengthening exercises for your core (which again are always weak in everyone) and those two things help stabilize the spine and reduce pain.
ruemorgan - GL with the milk trade out. The pedi told us on Tuesday at Ns 15m appt that N is smart and knows if he doesn't eat, he'll get milk. We've cut out about 10oz since then and he's eating a lot more real food now. It's exciting to have a kid eating real food again. Re:couch - do you have company frequently and do they use it? We always run out of seating when we have people over, but could otherwise get rid of our second couch.
ruemorgan during the week we have a good thing- nurse morning and at bed. On the weekends she wants to nurse morning, all morning, nap and bed. I can usually get a bottle in her. I am not making much milk. During the week is fine, about 12 hours in between. Her liking to use me as a paci is what I have a hard time with.
Also, we have toys in a playroom vs bedroom and love that set up. Regarding the spare couches...I'd sell. If you ever needed another set you'd probably be better off buying at that time.

I have cramps from hell in both my back and lower abdomen, despite only being on my second week of my BCP. Remember how I didn't get a period at the end of the last pack, well now I have one in the middle of this pack. Something is wrong. I'll be calling the GYN again on Tuesday to figure out what the hell is going on.
We're going to the Brazilian steakhouse at 4 with a large group of people so I'm hoping that getting myself ready for that will make me feel more alive. Right now, I just want to curl up in a ball and sleep.
Something is also up with N this morning because he just wants to cuddle and watch cartoons, which obviously I'm game for, but he NEVER sits for more than 10 minutes of Mickey, let alone anything else. FX he behaves for my dad who is watching him while we're gone.
rvamama I have not seen a chiropractor, I've considered it but I'm not sure there is much they can do. I had 3 herniated/blown discs and they went in and replaced(fused) 2 and did the whole cage and screws business. I still have one that's messed up, but they felt it would be fine since they fixed the two above it.
I'm terrible at guessing ages but this 5 year old and 7 year old? They are trying to get Nora to play musical chairs at this picnic. And then they get pissed when she won't get up or sits down at the correct time. Chill your butts, kids. She's ONE. Don't make me find your mom.

rvamama - The orange flavored Metamucil isn't horrible. I intermittently used it mixed in orange juice when I was first pregnant.
ladymike - My 6yo nephews are like that. Like they want to read Noah a book, which is sweet and all, but they want to do it from across the room and get upset whenever Noah doesn't look. Or if he's close and won't turn the pages for them at the right time.
So h's uncle's girlfriend and kids had to leave the river early because her kids were having bad allergic reactions to something down here. They did Memorial Day weekend too. I am bad today as well, but not like her poor kids. So just us family left and it's now nice and quiet!
If it's rainy again tomorrow, I might tell h that we should head home early.
Finally checking in... As nice as last night was, today was a shit show. Kids woke up super early (which I was expecting) but with colds. So fun. V was ready to nap a bit early so we put her down and then she was woken by C fighting his nap and we were unable to get her back to sleep. So 30 min of nap for the whole day. Plus cold symptoms which H and I are now experiencing as well. C does bath and bed in the next 10 min and then after that we decided it's wine time. Over it today!
LesleyEO I hope your kiddos feel better soon and you and your h don't catch it!
Thank you! We both have seasonal allergies anyway so I'm hoping that all our sneezing and coughing are that and not the stuffy nose snot yuckiness the kids have going on.
Hope you're getting at least some good relaxation in at the river!

Yeah- I'm experiencing some bad allergies today myself. Just a thought- y'all did yard work before your party last night, right?
I am relaxing- almost too much! We'll be heading home early tomorrow if it rains. I have stuff I can do there
