Hb said I hurt his feelings last night. I said if he wanted sex he could join me in the shower. It was getting late and I needed to shower. He said it hurt because I didn't want to do anything afterwards so it was a 1 time offer. Yeah you rejected the offer no sex for you.
On my way to work with e in the car I was rearended. No real visible damage we are both ok. Hb wants me to get the car in to be checked out and I need to figure out about her car seat.
@megaugust10, I'm sorry you had a car accident. I hope you're both ok. Take some Motrin because you may be sore later. I've been up since 4 with A. Off to drink more coffee. I'll come play later.
We had Nora's 15 month appointment this morning. 33 inches and 28 pounds. What kind of beast did we create??
Meeting with my boss this morning about my career goals and job happiness. I can't decide if I should just play along or be completely honest. I know I should be honest in some respects, but it's all kind of exhausting. I really don't care that much. We'll see.
I woke up with nausea and with a migraine coming on. I was super close to calling out of work, but my migraine meds have eased my woes and I feel much, much better. I'm pretty sure I shouldn't have had two Sprite sodas before bed. Oops. I was craving bubbly drinks!
Not much going on. Step-mom hinted that it was time to wean M from pacifiers, as she fell asleep for her first nap without it. Sigh. I'm working on it, people! Maybe this weekend.
M's 15-month appointment is next Tuesday. Can't wait to see how much (or how little) she's grown! I'm pretty sure we're still stuck near 20lbs. But she's definitely getting taller, as we're going to need 18-month pants soon. Thankfully I have a crap-ton of hand-me-downs in the attic, so we'll see what goodies we can bring down!
I need to find a dress for me and M for FIL's wedding, which is July 30. Anyone want to do some online shopping for me? I'm in a size 5-6 and M wears 18-24 month dresses! I hate shopping. Help me.
Morning! I don't have much of anything exciting to share today.
A is on somewhat of a food strike recently. She just doesn't seem to be eating much. Trying not to let it bother me since they go through phases, but it's hard!
So, hey, when should we start thinking about toddler beds? Curious what y'all think or what normal age is? I'm in NO rush, love my baby cage, and she hasn't tried to escape or anything. Just thinking! We got really nice bedroom set from MH's grandfather's house and it'll be fun when she's old enough and we can set it up! I'm not crying about it or anything, it'll be fun!!!111
Morning ladies! I feel like I'm off to a blah start... Gotta get motivated! @megaugust10- Husbands. Ugh. Sorry about that. And yikes about the car accident! So glad you and E are ok!! bekbek- ALL THE COFFEE TO YOU. ladymike- N is a gorgeous baby girl beast... You guys did great! I would say be honest with the boss, but I'm also Team Cry (discussed yesterday I think?) and I would probably get emotional cause that's my style. Could you follow up with an email, sort of like, I was able to give my answer a little more thought and... ? We did toddler bed right around 2 years. But C was never a crib climber so we had the luxury of time. He honestly did really. great but I'm afraid of how V will do when we transition :/ malvo- Sorry for the migraine start to the day. Not fun. What kind of dress are you thinking of for the wedding? sjep922- Boo to the food strike. I think we are finally coming out of a long one over here. Feeling your pain. Ok, I'm getting up to at least get some laundry started. Then off to target for random stuff. A week from today we'll be on a plane to Kauai! (I apologize for talking about this way too much. Will try to stop)
Oh. From yesterday... rvamama- Hope today's a better day with the coworker. It made me anxious just reading about your situation! ...hit post too soon... portuguesemama- Get that tutu done! I have faith in you babys2015- Hugs. Kid sleep is so, so hard for almost all of us. Plus you're doing it x2. Hang in there. It does get better, it's just a long road.
ladymike i figure when e starts climbing out of her crib would be a good start to move to a toddler bed or if I get pregnant with #2 she will move to a full size bed.
@megaugust10 ...that hurt his feelings? I mean, his feelings are his feelings I guess but if my SO said that (in that scenario) I'd laugh at him. I hope that there's no internal damage and the car seat is figured out
malvo I'm sure she'll stop using paci's when she's ready

@megaugust10, glad you guys are okay!! I agree with the motrin though, you will probably be sore. So scary
sjep922, We were going through the no eating phase for the past couple of weeks too. It's tough but I think we are now back to eating so there is hope!
LesleyEO Something light and flowing as it's hot, hot, hot and the wedding itself will be outside.
ladymike We'll transition when she either starts to climb or if she's just too damn heavy to pick up and place over the rails. She uses a cot at daycare, so she's getting good practice!
ladymike, I put LG in the crib transitioned to a toddler bed at 16 months. At 22 months we turned the bed around to keep her contained! I think it's different for every kid. LG won't lay down by herself but I think we're going to try again soon. I don't think we'll try a toddler bed any time soon for A!

So we booked our floors to get re done!!! Next thursday they start. Ahhhh cannot wait to have clean, pretty new hardwood!
We will have to stay with our inlaws for half the week then we can stay at my parents house for the other half. Im hoping D does okay sleeping in a couple different places but all I can think of is having other people to help try and corral that monster every day. Sounding slightly like a vacation!
Today we got a break in the heat (so far) and it's a cool 75 lol. M went to his 15 month appt and is a grand total of 30 1/4" long and 18lbs 12.5oz Grow tiny man, grow!
We plan on going to the aquarium tomorrow with my bff and her 2 littles. Other than that today is a rather boring day here.

So glad you guys are getting a break in the heat! So yucky!
ladymike ill be keeping P in his crib until atleast 2. Idk how to even change Ps crib to a toddler bed, thats Hs job and hes not here.
If he learns to climb out of his crib and do it often, then obviously well reconsider. But most of my 2 year olds are still in cribs. Im in no rush. #teamsleep
Hey ladies, sorry I was absent yesterday. I left work early yesterday because Ps rash got worse so I wanted to keep an eye on him. Pretty sure he had Roseola, symptoms were spot on. The rash is gone today.
Not much going on for me. The grandparents are watching P this week (i think next week, too) to help with DC costs. And FIL texted me last night to tell me they are buying H a new phone!! We got him a cheapo burner phone before he left because his couldnt hold a charge. It sucks and we havent been able to afford a new phone. In TWO DAYS we'll be able to facetime and he can "see" P regularly! So excited!
ruemorgan, yeah, this is a good point. We finally are sleeping like real humans again. Do not need to learn new things in the middle of the night right now. Hahaha.
Re- F will crib sleep as long as possible. D never tried to climb out and I'm hoping the same goes for f.
portuguesemamaLesleyEO and whomever else commented yesterday about my work situation:Thanks for the support and letting me know I'm not the only one to get emotional in the work place. I explained my feelings about the situation to C and she said that she fears for me when I move up (positions) because people always blame her for things and people are always hard on her. But the thing with me is I only get emotional when it's someone whose opinion I trust giving the feedback. I could care less if Joe Schmo had anything to say to me. So, now I almost feel like she doesn't think I could make it in that position (when the time comes). ruemorgan I got teary about FaceTime with you, p and your h!! xmina4x f is only 19 something lbs. she lost 3 oz last week.
I cannot win today. I tried getting a snack from the vending machine downstairs. It wouldn't take my nickels. So I hit the return money button and it gives me more damn nickels for the dimes I put in. Then I go to another machine and hit the wrong button. I wanted mini oreos and got pistachios instead.
I'm so ready for this week to end! I am crampy and spotting oh so lightly, so I guess this is my period...and h isn't feeling good and it's hot as hell outside.
Also, H had a dr appointment last Friday because he is always so tired/worn out during the day. He has an appointment next month to see if he has sleep apnea. But he got a call today that his blood work from Friday came back and his blood sugar was pretty high at 114. So...he has to do a 10 hour fasting re-check. His nanny had diabetes and I just hope that he doesn't. I'm going to look into other lifestyle changes he can make to avoid it...anyone have experience with this?
