What's up F17?
This afternoon is my first appointment and I think the assistant scheduled me for a pap. DNW anything swishing around up in the business maybe we can skip that and go straight to the really fun blood work instead?
We're chilling at home again today. Or trying to stay cool anyways. Our air conditioners are having a hard time keeping up! My dad finally looked at my car yesterday, and my timing belt broke. It could have done "catastrophic" damage to my engine, but we won't know until he replaces the timing belt on Saturday. That is not the news I wanted to hear.
My friend is coming over for lunch and bringing us chick-fil-a. Yummmm.
And most improbably, DS took a 1.5 hour morning nap! It's been several weeks since that has happened, so I'm super excited. Of course that could mean he'll take a super short afternoon nap. But I'm really crossing my fingers that this regression is coming to an end. Please?
shawnabm1320 I had a tensioner pulley come apart while driving on the freeway in May, which means the drive belt fell off while I was going 70mph. No fun. Luckily there was no further damage.
Thanks, shawnabm1320, now I'm craving waffle fries from Chick-fil-A! pivot I despise going to the dentist! I have a cleaning coming up too. I'm wondering if I can keep my mouth open for an hour without puking? I'm just relaxing at my parents today. B and I are still under the weather so I needed the help today.
I've been spotting yesterday and today with slight cramping so I called the doc to try and get in. I was originally scheduled for tomorrow but wanted to get some piece of mind. They got me in for an ultrasound this morning and we got to see our little tadpole, healthy as could be!! HB was 144. I have a follow up with my OB tomorrow afternoon but right now everything looks good so it was probably just some irritation.
It has been a bit of a rough week, emotionally, for me. I'm blaming hormones. Anything and everything can set me off. DS has been extra clingy and whiny and it's breaking my heart and making everything harder these days. Hoping the rest of the day turns around after a long nap for both of us.
I let my boss know I'm expecting as I will be coming off a mat leave pregnant again. She was very happy for me so that made it a lot easier. I have about 4 weeks left at home and it's bittersweet. Happy to have the time at home, especially in the summer but I'm also really looking forward to being back in my office and getting caught up on work.
allisong87 I just started having some light spotting as well. No pain or cramping but I'm kinda freaking out. I never had spotting with my first pregnancy. I'm contemplating if I need to call my doc or not. I have my first ultrasound on Wednesday..

Ugh I'm sorry!!! I called yesterday morning just because it was spotting with cramping. Everything has been very light. It's been very sporadic too. They told me just to monitor it. This morning it was more on the red side and I still had cramps so I called again and that's why they suggested doing my ultrasound today rather than tomorrow. The nurses told me its all usually very normal and I'm wondering if it's from picking my son up all the time... He's a big boy haha. It wouldn't hurt to call if you think you should. It'll probably give you piece of mind.
sweetieheart32 yuck to the pap! I just got one in Feb so hopefully they don't make me do one, but it wouldn't surprise me if they do.
shawnabm1320 boo to the AC not really keeping up but yes to a babe who takes a nap! DD has decided she hates naps. I miss them so much. Hopefully there's nothing serious with your car other than the timing belt. FX for you!
allisong87 I'm glad all seems to be well! Cramping and spotting can be so scary but at least you have some piece of mind.
ktl23 so great that your boss is supportive! That makes everything so much easier. Hopefully your DS will not be so clingy soon!

I'd call the doctor. That way you have piece of mind and your doctor has a heads up as well.
Back in the old house for the movers to pack our stuff up to move into storage. Best news is we got and accepted an offer on the house this morning as well! I'd say today calls for a drink but guess I'll settle for a glass of flavored water or maybe a milkshake??? 😜
shawnabm1320, hope that it isn't more than the simplest issue it could be. Yay for food coming though
pivot, hope the cleaning went smoothly. Mine is scheduled for.. August or October I think..yuck. Still worth it though! The twins took so much calcium from my system that my teeth were worse after their pregnancy
allisong87, Glad that everything looks healthy So hard to take it easy at this stage.. we still don't look pregnant for the most part, but this whole thing is still fragile!
@winegirl9 Definitely the milkshake! Congrats on the getting and accepting the offer
My older daughters are gone for the month.. oh, traveling young teenagers So.. despite the probably broken, stitched, splinted finger.. I'm potty training twins on my own. Shoot me now? Exhausted and a bit frustrated, but overall it is going well. I hate the loss of wages, but at least I get more sleep for the next week
Thank you for the support ladies! I took a nap and when I woke up the spotting was totally gone. Yay!! I'll just continue to monitor but hope this doesn't happen again!

They put me down for a pap at my first visit but when I reminded my dr I had gotten one in January and it was normal, he cancelled it and just did a g/c swab plus a regular feeling around exam. But no pap! Huzzahhhh!

As an anecdote, I spotted for no apparent reason at least three times with my first pregnancy, and everything turned out okay. From what I have read, some spotting can be normal in early pregnancy (but absolutely call your doc if you need the peace of mind before your appt)
lovebb09 to echo what cosmicav said, I bled til 12 weeks with my son for no apparent reason and have spotted a bit with this pregnancy. If you are feeling worried I'd call, plus you get an extra peak at little one!
@shawnabmb1320 I hope they can fix your car!
Afm, we had an US yesterday and little bubs looks great! Measuring a little bit ahead and a strong hb This weekend we have a family wedding and I am going to share the news with my brother and SIL. I can't wait to see them and for LO to play with his cousin!
