Hi ladies
So I wanted to stop by here... This is my 2nd miscarriage and, naturally, I'm just really bummed.
It's been a gradual process... We've been monitoring concerning Hcg levels for a few weeks now. Ultrasound and bloodwork today confirmed everything 100%.
I'm really eager to get back on the bandwagon. I really feel like it's what I need to move on. That being said I'm curious...
How many people were advised to wait until after a full cycle? (Aka, wait for a "real" period to finish.. Not just the miscarriage bleeding) My usual OB said we can definitely discuss that as an option when I see her on Tuesday. The random OB I saw today said absolutely not... Trying right away will put me at a high risk for another miscarriage. I just felt like it was 2 totally different messages.
Hi there. Welcome, and I'm so sorry for your losses. I think you will find that the general consensus here is waiting 3 full cycles to try again. (I'm not sure how far along you were/if you had a D&C etc...) I was advised to wait one full cycle after a chemical pregnancy and 3 cycles after my ectopic. I know it seems like a long time to wait, but in the broad scheme of things it's not. It's for the health of your future pregnancy/yourself. (((hugs))) good luck with moving forward.

This time around we discovered the concerns around 6 weeks and I would be just shy of 9 weeks by now? Something like that. Empty sac.
I hate waiting. It is what it is I guess.
Eta: we waited about a year after the first miscarriage.

Waiting is the worst. We've all been there for sure. ((Hugs))
Welcome, I'm so sorry for your losses. I hope you find some comfort and support here. Multiple OBs and two REs have all said I needed to wait two cycles before trying again (so two periods after the mc bleeding) to give my uterus time to heal, and to reduce the risk of another miscarriage. I'm mobile right now so I can't see your siggy, but if you've had two consecutive losses, I would ask your OB to refer you to a reproductive endocrinologist for recurrent pregnancy loss testing to make sure there isn't something else going on. We also have a RPL check-in on 3T if you would like to join. This process isn't easy. Find something to keep you busy to pass the time until you can try again. The emotional healing is also just as important as the physical, (((hugs))).
Welcome, I'm so sorry for your losses. rslh10 and grneyes have already said what I would have said. I know the waiting is so hard when you just want to move on, so I hope time passes quickly for you. ((Hugs))
I'm sorry for your losses. Welcome to the board. All of my losses, including my ectopic were natural, as soon as I stopped progesterone they happened. So I was told to wait at least one cycle, and then to try when I was ready. That being said, I normally waited a little longer, except after a CP. GL and don't rush if you aren't sure/aren't ready.
Hi. I am sorry for your losses. For my natural losses, I was told at least one cycle. With any surgery, I was told at least 3 cycles. The waiting does suck, but in the grand scheme of things, a couple months is not a big deal. Find something new to do. I started exercising a lot during that time.

I'm so sorry for your losses. +1 for grneyes recommendation to request a referral to an RE for RPL testing.
As for waiting, I've always waited one full cycle before trying again per my OB's recommendations. My RE prefers two cycles before TTC again. (((hugs)))
Welcome to the board and sorry you find yourself here
Everyone else already said what I would. The wait sucks, we have all been there, but it's so very important to let your body heal and get back on track.
