My MIL is coming sometime this week after us visiting her this past week. The introvert in me is over it. She also didnt breast feed so sometimes I feel judged.

My two older kiddos are visiting my parents this week. They have been so bored so far on summer vacation so it is much needed. I'm excited to spend time with just the LOs and DH. Plus I have so much to get done around this house and this will be a great opportunity.
Random question...anyone know how much BC pills cost without insurance? A new plan i applied for doesn't include prescriptions and i really need to get back on them
Eta: i know it will vary between brands, etc...just want to get an idea
I thought all insurance HAS to cover BC by law? When I used NuvaRing I'm pretty sure it would have been like $200/mo without insurance.

My in-laws are coming over in a bit to watch the kids while I shop with my mom. I need to find a dress to wear to the baby's (L) baptism and my sisters wedding.

Does anyone have any fun, unique and not tacky batchelorette party ideas? Just small, casual get together. All THREE of my sisters are getting married so we are doing girls nights for each, but don't want them to all be the same thing.
We have a sitter for the night and H and I are going to an amusement park to ride all the roller coasters! I'm so excited. I haven't ridden one in years. I'm just hoping it's not too busy and doesn't rain!
This sounds terrible! FFMC, I hate roller coasters and amusement parks.
graybaby I hope you can get back to the longer stretches of sleep. That's rough! lovemyk Oh man, sorry for the rough start
I forgot to set my alarm again after DD woke up at 4 to eat, so I had no time to get ready this morning. I'm just thankful I showered last night so I could skip it this morning. I forgot enough bottles to pump so thank goodness my coworker brought some in to give to me or else I'd probably have to wait to pump until I got home after lunch.
For future reference, I believe that you can pump into a zip lock bag, or a poured out waterbottle, both should be steril. I have never done this, but it would at least be worth looking into. Skipping a pump sounds painful.
I am mad at DH for something stupid, and I am acting like a child about it. I kind of don't care right now that I am acting like a child about it though.

I'm not into roller coasters either. I find that the older I get, the more afraid of heights I become!
Six days later, my boob finally hurts. Not terrible. This antibiotic is so crappy. Take every six hours, empty stomach (one hour before and 2-3 hours after). I can't eat meals at normal times.
I was same way. Took my boob forever to hurt. I also hated the empty stomach things. Hope it works fast. Aleve helped my pain.
I am visiting my parents in Ohio with baby and forgot to pack my pumping bra. I spent $35 on a new one at target, so that means I need to keep up the nursing/pumping to justify that expense.
I did need a new pumping bra but thought that since I was almost done, I would stick it out.

For a favor for my sil, we did these cute little "hangover kits" for each person (for if you're planning on going out drinking). A cute to go coffee mug filled with hangover essentials: advil, Gatorade mix, eye drops, etc.
It just sank in last night that I'm going back to work next week. I was awake and unable to turn my brain off until 1, baby was up at 4, husband was irrationally angry at 4 when it took me a little bit to fully wake up and feed the baby, half way through said feeding I got terrible stomach pains and was up for another 45 minutes.
I would like a do over.
I go back Thursday and this has been me for like the last week. Horrible insomnia. It sucks!! Hope you have a better night tonight!
It is just me and the baby this week. It is nice to come home to quiet. Feeding baby now, then take a bath, make dinner, watch some TV and go to bed. Introvert's heaven.
I really didn't get many migraines while pregnant. Nothing I am taking is helping. It doesn't even take the edge off. Are there BFing friendly options?
Yes I take firoscet. Also magnesium & vitamin D has been show to reduce migraine frequency.
I have been MIA for a bit because we went on a road trip with S! He was great in the car for the 3 hour ride, which was such a relief. All of my relatives were very impressed with how well behaved S was. We got home yesterday, only to have the WORST possible night of sleep. I think I got 3 full hours. Meanwhile DH is snoozing away after waking up S at 1:30 by loudly coming into the bedroom. Hope tonight is better.

Did your OB say fioricet was safe while BFing? My OB okayed it during pregnancy and there's not enough studies online to say how safe it is. I should probably just ask her tomorrow at my appointment.
Yes OB gave me the okay. I have had chronic migraine since childhood so it was one of my first questions.

+1. I go back Wednesday and can't sleep. I had zero problem going back with my first, so it's weird.

Do you want help picking out a dress?
I know you were all on the edge of your seat dying to know what I chose
We survived first road trip with LO! Slept the 3 hour drive there and back. She was great the whole time. Took her shopping, to restaurants and to the ocean. Even dipped her little feet in the cold water briefly. Planned on letting her try the pool but it was to cold. Great weekend!
