buttercup if it's me, then ok. I thought it was shitty that you took something that had nothing to do with you, made it about you, and made gooselover2012 feel bad for something we all do (which is, talk about our parenting experiences). If you find you are having a hard time, and get upset at someone's post that has nothing to do with you, then take a step back and re-evaluate.
ETA- I didn't say anything at first, because I was going to see how goose handled it. She was obviously upset, so I let her know directly that there was nothing wrong with what she said. Then you continued to badger her. So yes, I'm going to say something. If you "didn't need those comments" from someone, then don't start stuff. Just step away.
Good luck, jags8. We're trying both arms out of the swaddle me tonight (after a few nights of 1 arm out).
Thanks everyone! So after tons of thrashing, I decided to go back in and put one arm in the swaddle. It really seemed to help! He stopped thrashing and went to sleep. But now he only slept 5 hours. It's hard to say if it's because of how he was swaddled, or if it's because I nursed him to sleep. I usually pump out both breasts before bed, and feed him that (and add frozen milk if need be to get to 5 oz). But all my pump parts need to be washed and I was too tired, so I nursed. So maybe he didn't have a full belly because he kept falling asleep nursing.
Has anyone done the rolled-up-blanket on each side of baby thing? DS is just not relaxing and keeps thrashing around.
Ds is the same way even swaddled if he's on his back. He will kick his legs like crazy and wake himself up. I have been wanting to try the towel trick as we have been transitioning him from the rnp to crib but have been to nervous to try it. I know people say it works great though. Maybe try for one of his naps tomorrow?
Are you allowed to us the Merlin sleep suit when they are rolling? I mean their arms and legs are free in it...
OMG just looked up a pic of the Merlin sleep suit! Oh wow! That is funny!! I'm not sure if I can use it. Does it saying anything on the inside of yours? The swaddler I had been using specially says right on the swaddle (where the neck tag would be) to not use it once baby can roll back to belly.
Well, we have been up twice (now nursing but didn't the first time) because she keeps pooping. So who knows what it would be like if she didn't poop. I'm a little concerned because she's gone from pooping once a day/every other day to 7-8 times a day. Something is bothering her

How long has she been having to poop all day? DS will have random days where he poops non-stop, but no more than one day in a row. Do you put Vaseline on her butt when she has those days? I haven't done it yet, but heard it's a good trick to prevent diaper rash (better than diaper cream I guess?).
buttercup I'm sorry for what your going through. I recently heard of a death of a child and it really hit me hard. It's so darn scary. I can't stop thinking about it *hugs*

When we started no swaddling the first couple of nights he slept shorter stretches, just because he was getting used to it. We did one arm out for a week before we went full on no swaddle. He uses an Aden and anais wearable blanket now which helped the moving about in the middle of the night. Hopefully the second night is even better!
I wish I had a drink last night. MIL is driving me a little batty. Usually I get along with her really well but grandma her and I don't see eye to eye as much. She visited last night and I could've used some alcohol but the house was empty. Headed to the store today to fix that problem... and maybe buy some stuff for dinner I guess (but really the wine)
Not what she was saying, her reason for visiting was actually to scope out the house across the street. Long story, but it's for sale and she wants to flip it. FIL has no interest and they live an hour away, soooo could we not buy a house that close, pleaseandthankyou
Haha it would be like a Everybody Loves Raymond situation!!

We're going in day 4 of this. I called the pediatrician the other day and the nurse wasn't concerned. Said it could be normal. I'm thinking it's some sort of dairy sensitivity popping up late

Oh, jags. Thanks for being concerned about one poster's feelings and laying it on thick in attacking me and disregarding my feelings. You weren't even part of the conversation. You know what I am going the right now and that makes you a bitch.
