Which car seat did you get? I'm looking at the instant pot. Are they really that great? I have and use my conventional pressure cookers pretty often. They're on sale from 120 to 70. I'm thinking it would be a great birthday/Christmas present.

The Chicco nextfit zip which I have in my car for DD1, so I'd like to have the same one for number 2 once he/she is no longer in the baby car seat. And for my husbands truck, which we usually don't drive if it's all of us, the britax boulevard.

I checked out Prime day briefly but I have to buy a new washer/dryer unit tonight so no extra money. . However, I am ready for a new unit since I hated my old washer so it'll all work out, I just wish it was better timing.
We still have our travel system from DS, but I told hubby this morning that I've fallen in love with a new stroller/car seat and I think we should sell our old one and buy this one, since it's probably our last baby so we should splurge. I wasn't entirely serious, but he agreed without hesitation, so it looks like we're pimping out!
Is anyone losing a fuck ton of hair? This didn't happen with my first so it's freaking me out...though I feel like I've read that it's normal.
Yup, normal. Happened with both my girls then near the end my hair was strong and beautiful then back to falling out once they were born.
Did the library this morning with the girls. Had to take my laptop in to get fixed. They say orange juice isn't covered under warrenty (children = no nice things). Then went to toys r us and got some great deals which put me in a better mood. Tonight we have a birthday dinner for DD2's godfather. So other than the OJ laptop, it's a good day.
sweetieheart32, the Nuna Mixx stroller with Nuna Pipa car seat. We have a Nuna play yard already that we absolutely love. Their stuff is so sleek looking and functional. The Mixx isn't super luxury but in Canada the damn thing retails for twice the price, so I'm considering it a splurge for us!
I hadn't even started thinking about baby stuff yet. Probably should. Both my kids hated the infant car seat with such a burning passion that I'm tempted to just get a convertible with an infant insert from the beginning, but...February. Maybe the convenience of being able to carry the seat out will be worth it in the cold?

I'm not having a good mental health day here. PG hormones suck.
Buuut, I'm excited that I got a tablet for DS for $35. I NEVER thought I'd be one of "those" moms.... but I've already decided that tablet time is going to be our "mommy is nursing the baby" toy.

We went swimming today, which was great fun! However, I was hoping it would tire my LO out so he would take a nice afternoon nap. Instead, he fell asleep for 15 minutes on the car ride home, and then refused to take another nap later. So now I'm just biting my nails till bedtime with a fussy kiddo. Ah, nap drama.
I can't find anything I can't live without on Amazon prime day, which is good, because I need to buy DS his next size up wardrobe (*sniff*), and my car is still not fixed so we don't know how much that will be. Sometimes I feel like we bleed money. Yikes!
Amen to bleeding money, shawnabm1320. So frustrating. Good news for me is we cut out our prime membership to save money last month.. so no temptations Jealous of the swimming though! I get the stitch out of my finger tomorrow.. and then maybe I can go swimming this weekend? ~crosses fingers~
The twins are sleeping like logs at the moment. They needed after no good nap yesterday. With the way their eating right now.. we'll be going up a size in no time at all.
cosmicav, my hubby is stuck washing my hair until I can get my hand wet again, and he was commenting on my hair loss today I just handed him the conditioner and stuck my tongue out at him. Happened with all my pregnancies.. and I still have super thick hair. Just annoying.
On the car seat topic.. I'm holding off on anything until after the first ultrasound on Thursday. I don't know if it is my hubby just fearing it.. but he swears we're having more twins. Even now I'm debating where to put just three car seats in our small SUV.. along with two teenage girls.. but.. four car seats? I think we'll need an economy car and my hubby can take one of the teenagers with him if we all have to go somewhere together.
We've talked about it. Tried to find one when after we had the twins (2-1/2 years old). Every time we went to go look at one in the price range.. it was gone So.. we ended up with an MDX. Yeah.. I know, sounds expensive but we got it for an amazing deal. Not sure if trading in the SUV for a minivan.. or just getting a second car would be better in the long run.
Love tit for support wildflower810. I'm definitely in an emotional valley right now. I'm going through some things with my H, but the emotions I'm feeling are disproportionate to the issues. Just really, really blue.
missi there are so many twin moms on this board! Also a lot of other moms with young babies/toddlers. Makes me feel a little less overwhelmed;)
Afm, we had a big family wedding this weekend and I took Monday and today off to go to our lake house. We decided to stay tonight and drive back tomorrow morning before work which is going to be a total shit show. On the "plus" side I won't be hungover like I normally am after lake weekends, but watching everyone else down g+ts, it doesn't feel like a plus!!! LO has 3 teeth on verge of poking through and I pray they bust through overnight since we're getting up at 5 anyway.
