Milestones: He is actively reaching and grasping toys and his fine motor skills are getting much better.
Challenges: I'm sick. It sucks because I guesa he can sense it and all he wanys is to be held and all I want is to sleep. Oh, and sleep. He has a hard time going back to sleep after a MOTN wakeup. He falls asleep whe eating but as soon as i put him down, he's awake. So, he usually ends up in bed with us. Doesn't really bother me, but I want him to be able to sleep w/o me.
Funny story: He laughs and laughs whenever we put clothes on or take them off. He thinks it's the funniest thing. Also, I found hia tickle spot. Baby laughs are the best.
As I mentioned above, I'm sick. It makes tracking care of him feel like a chore because I'm so miserable. I went to the chiro yesterday and for adjusted and she did something to my sinuses and I could breathe again. I'm hoping that will save more a doctor trip because I DNW to take him with me.
QOTW: I don't think so. I was looking and I'm not very impressed with their baby stuff. I wag going for some more activity center things.
Milestones: Enjoying solids, sitting up with minimal assistance, predictable nap and bedtime schedule.
Challenges: He is being lazy and won't roll over! In addition to sitting up with minimal support, he is solid jumping around in jumper, grabbing toys and swiveling himself, but just lies there when we work on rolling.
Cute/ funny stories: He STTN, but likes to wake in the middle of night to repeatedly do a double leg slam on his mattress. Doesn't fuss, just slams his legs down over and over.. I am currently painting his room because he has worn out his welcome in our room, lol.
How are you? Good, but some days I feel run ragged.
QOTW: Just used bank reward points and got a bunch of free toys for the kids with Amazon gift cards!

DS is 9.5 months
He's figured out waving, and is thisclose to clapping. Pulling up to stand on anything he can reach, and has even stood unassisted for a few seconds.
9 month sleep regression has arrived. 3 of the last 5 nights, he's had a wake-up.
Re: the clapping - most of the time he only gets 1 finger on his hand to clap against the other. But it's so damn cute to see how intent he is to try, and then see his eyes light up when he looks up at me after doing it.
Adults are good, trying to get used to DH's new work schedule (which brings him home late 95% of the time).
QOTW: Bought a convertible car seat and some diapers so far. Have my eye on a few other things...
DX: MFI TTC April 2011 BFP #1 7/15/11, EDD 3/22/12 - CP Varicocelectomy surgery 9/4/12 - T improved to normal, but still MFI IVF #1 w/ ICSI Jan 2015 - 11R/6M/6F, ET of a 3AB expanded blast w/ none to freeze.

DD1 would wake herself MOTN as a very young infant kicking so hard in her sleep that we could hear it in the basement with the TV on.
gratefulgirl, tkford216, Too funny! I see it's not Cole's signature move. I also love the double stiff leg extension while I try to get his diaper on, lol.

The straight leg.. is how my kid prefers to poop.. Weirdo.
W likes to plant his feet and scoot up when I change is diaper. Then if I'm not fast enough he pees everywhere. I swear I feel like im wrestling a greased pig every time.

I just introed, so I am going to just dive in with the check-in, too!
Age: 3 weeks
Milestones: I swear it looks like DD is smiling in response to my smile, although I know it's probably too early for a real social smile. DD reached her birth weight a little past two weeks, so we stopped waking her to feed her. Last night she slept for almost five hours, which I count as a huge success.
Challenges: DS (age 5.5) is very tired and cranky when he gets home from camp at 5:15pm and managing the evenings is difficult.
Cute/Funny Stories: DS has been so sweet with DD. He made up his own little nickname for her and says that DD likes it when he strokes her arm with two of his fingers. DS says that DD knows that it's him because she recognizes how he strokes her arm.
How are you? I'm feeling pretty good. Enjoying snuggles and cuddles during maternity leave. Maternity leave feels a lot more like a vacation than it did with DS!
QOTW: Are you hitting up any of the Amazon Prime Day deals today? Nah, I didn't see anything I needed.
Milestones: Enjoying solids, sitting up with minimal assistance, predictable nap and bedtime schedule.

Milestones: he can sit by himself for a few minutes. He's been trying (and sometimes succeeding) to hold the bottle himself. We're starting to try new foods (purees). He's really starting to reach for things not directly in his lap.
Challenges: not much really. But lol to rolling. Never gonna happen. He has no interest whatsoever. My H is worried. I'm like, whatever, less for me to worry about.
Stories: He's been trying to touch the dog lately. And he smiles big when he gets a fist full of fur.
Me: I'm doing okay. I've hit a wall with working out and now have to force myself off the couch each day. I also told my H last night that the only way I'm doing this all again is if he finds me a doc that will do an elective c/s with simultaneous tummy tuck. (Idk if this is even a thing. it was mostly a joke. Sort of.)
Prime Day: Hell yes. I got us a convertible car seat for when he gets too big in a few months. And some more of my favorite bibs. Random things for the house. Carter's also had a big sale that day. My bank account is much lighter this week..

As someone who has to have a cesarian (so it's not elective - ha) and has separated abs, very loose skin, and an umbilical hernia I am all YES to that idea, and DH probably would be too. My abs aren't just cosmetic, it actually affects the way my core functions and the hernia could potentially get dangerous. I've heard of cesarians and hernia repair happening at the same time, but sadly my OB was all "no" when I asked. She did offer to stitch my abs up a little, though...but she said it wouldn't really get better without working out. Which is funny, because the general surgeon who does hernia repair said working out wouldn't fix the abs, only a tummy tuck.
But seriously, if you think you might have diastasis rectii, I do know a great exercise program that isn't at all hard and helped me after DD2. I plan to get back to it after DD3 since I can tell my abs are even worse this time.
gratefulgirl yes! I've gotten it down to about a half inch separation but I seem to have hit a plateau here. I've been doing "crunchless" ab exercises daily, and it's helping, slowly, but I think I'm kind of stuck now, and I'm afraid to do anything harder than I'm doing now because I've heard you can make it worse if you go at it too hard. So if you have a good workout for me, I would love it. Thanks Eta.. the loose skin is a whole different issue. Not sure what to do about that.

THIS - she'll scoot out of her new diaper if I don't get that sucker secured, fast!

YES! I'm also interested in the exercise program you followed! not positive if I have D.R. but it's definitely a slight pooch that can't be kicked... Save

tkford216, mrsbutton, I am a big fan of MuTu Mamas. I have also had friends who followed the Tupler Technique and liked it, but when I read comparative reviews I decided to try MuTu. The diet, which is practically Paleo, is not really my thing because I don't see the evidence for it, but the movement and alignment stuff is stellar! I found it manageable with two kids, too.
heartbot I am jealous of your elastic skin (but glad for you that you get to have it). Mine does not snap back well at all.
Milestones: can sit up independently, is starting to stand while at playtables/couches!
Challenges: she's got her first nasty cold (snot dripping, a slight cough from the postnasal drip) with coxsackie at their daycare (BLUGH) I was worried she caught it, but this morning she seemed MUCH better (and fever free)
Cute/Funny Stories: she's started sleeping on her stomach (scary at first) but it's the cutest thing to see...
How are you? not bad - getting ready for DS's THIRD birthday party this weekend (ACK!) and trying to cram a million things into the hours between work and bed...
gratefulgirl , it remains to be seen whether the same will happen after having a second baby. Right now my stomach looks like a stretched out garbage bag filled with pudding.
I don't mean to laugh but that is SUCH a perfect analogy for this shit hanging from my abdomen.
heartbot see I've never been a very active person, so if I do get the body back somehow, I don't want to do this all over again (and everyone says second time is harder). Blah.
