How long are you away? Two days a week- 8.5 hours. The other three days- 4.5 hours
How much is baby drinking? Usually 3.5-4 oz during the day
How many times do you pump? Every three hours while at work, plus right before bedtime.
What is the output? It depends on the time of day, and how soon I pump after breastfeeding. But anywhere from 4-6 oz I think during the day, and maybe 3 oz before bed.
Anything else? I love love love the feeling of freshly pumped boobs! I'd say it's equally as relieving as a good poo haha
This is my second week back at work, so we are still figuring things out. The first part of last week DS only took 1oz twice during the days at daycare, and made up for it by nursing all night. He is now taking bottles at daycare, but we are trying to figure out how much. So much wasted BM these last 2 weeks
How long are you away? About 9 hours, but I go nurse him at lunch, so closer to 4 hours and 5 hours
How much is baby drinking? One morning bottle, nurse at lunch, then 1 or 2 afternoon bottles. Looks like he will take about 3.5 oz per bottle when he feels like eating. If he gets a 3rd bottle at daycare it is just 3oz, since I will be there soon to feed him
How many times do you pump? Twice, once in the morning, once in the afternoon
What is the output? Morning 6 to 8 oz, afternoon about 4 oz
If he takes 2 bottles in a day this gives me 3 to 5 extra for my statch, if he takes 3 bottles, then I may get a couple oz that day for my statch. It is working well for slowly building up a freezer statch.
Anything else? I love nursing at lunch, I think really helps me keep my supply, and is so much nicer than pumping another time
How long are you away? Between six and a half and 9 hours for 4 days a week
How much is baby drinking? She's still getting the hang of a bottle but she's had up to 12 ounces for one of the longer days
How many times do you pump? I usually pump 3 times at work and I feed her right before I leave and right when I get home
What is the output? Really great so far! I am getting at least 12 ounces sometimes more so I have extra to put in the freezer. And I usually pump once in the morning before I leave so the baby has some fresh milk for the day. I'm building up my freezer stash but not sure what to do with all this extra milk if my supply stays up. Donate it maybe?
Anything else? I really don't have a good place to pump at work. I just put a sign on the break room door so everyone knows what I'm doing when I'm doing it. Kind of awkward! Plus I hate all the tubes, parts, and washing. I wish I could just stay home and breastfeed
I just bought a manual pump so I can leave my pump at school during the week and still pump at home. I am getting nervous about keeping my supply up once school starts because I have a very inflexible schedule for pumping. I will have to pump before I leave for school at like 6:45 and then can't pump again until 11ish. I have no idea how much S is eating during the day but I've been nursing frequently to keep my supply up. Pumping is the worst. I hate it. I am just trying to make it through to 6 months when we can start introducing solids and he will naturally need less breastmilk. Right now I'm building my stash by pumping once a day in the morning and I typically get ~3-4oz. I think I have about 70ish oz in my stash?
