H's car is dead so we're buying a new car this weekend. I need to go to the bank and figure everything out this afternoon. I'm officially 8 weeks today so that makes me happy.

Helping a friend move but looking forward to getting breakfast at this French cafe. I love me some almond croissants!!! Almost took a 20 minute trip detour before work to get one. I used my last ounce of self-control.

I'm excited to spend time at my favorite coffee shop tonight while DH plays softball in 95 degree heat. Typically I watch his games but there is no shade and it's just too hot.

I'm trying to muster every bit of non-nauseated energy I have and get my house in order. H promised he'd do it yesterday, then did exactly zero so I woke up to a terrible mess.
Meanwhile, my toddler is going crazy because we haven't left the house in days. So he's throwing and biting.
I hate these scented marker commercials with the flatulent fruit. Makes me gag every time, and I can never seem to change the channel or mute it in time. So gross.
Upside, today we're going geocaching when DH gets home from work today! Yay!
I know it's supposed to be kid humor, but it just grosses me out so much. They "capture" the fruit gas to give the markers the fruit smell. Nasty concept. First it was a blueberry, but they changed it to a banana.

Working like a lunatic, or at least trying to. I've got several big projects going on at work right now that require a lot of time and attention. Unfortunately, the exhaustion I've been feeling the last two or three days is the most severe I've ever felt. It's impossible to focus. I feel like I'm walking through a fog constantly. I just want to nap all the time. I fantasize about my bed and pillows. It's actually crazy.
DH is in New York for work this week, and he gets back tomorrow night. I'm really looking forward to snuggling him and having him back home. Sleeping alone sucks.

Pretty sure I just vomited in my mouth. That's so gross.

We had our first appointment today and it was great! Saw a heartbeat (165) and a little bean measuring 8w6d, which ties exactly with my LMP! I'm shocked the EDD isn't changing since my cycles are usually wonky. We're so relieved that there's a growing bean in there! FX the next two appointments go smoothly (one in two weeks, and another two weeks after that). Thanks for the T&Ps!
MH wants to go out to eat to celebrate, and nothing sounds appealing. Get out of here, nausea! You have overstayed your welcome! Take the puking with you.

I just texted my friend and said I'm in for an early u/s. Between my positive at 8dpo and extra puking, I'd like to see if there's one or two in there. Not gonna lie... the thought of twins is kinda mind boggling, though!
I'm tired of being the only one in my marriage that is sacrificing financially to save money.
Feel you. Saving my butt off and then DH tells me he wants to go to England in the fall to see family. First of all it's one distant cousin he's met once and it would just be him. Um, no.
I had a babysitter for 3 hours this morning. I had a haircut, ran a couple of errands, and went through an embarrassing number of drive thrus. The sitter let DS nap for 30 minutes, so now I'm a little worried he won't nap this afternoon. That would not be good. I was planning on a long nap.

That is frustrating. I've been saving all of my paychecks this year to save up for our birth and haven't spent anything on myself in the past 7 months. I'm just tired of him wanting "pocket money" when all I get to do is go grocery shopping.

Anybody with weddings coming up this fall? I have one Columbus Day weekend and I'm already stressing about what to wear. I'll be 22 weeks. Where do people buy maternity evening dresses/cocktail dresses?
Ideally I'd like to try on as the time gets closer, before I buy...but not sure if I'll be limited to online shopping.

I have one to go to November 19th when I'll be 27 weeks. I'm wondering the same thing. I've never needed a nice maternity dress before. And I don't know where to look, or when to buy. Given that it might be pricey, I don't want to wait until too close to the date either.

flyinghorses6 , ls2012 - I attended a few fall/winter weddings when I was PG with J (I was around 20 weeks). I found my best bet was a wrap dress, since the belly can grow in it and I could wear it later. I found a cute one on JC Penney's website. Actually, I scored a lot of cute stuff from JC Penney the last time.
I also found a cute dress at Target that was very form fitted in a bright orange. I dressed it up with jewelry and pretty flats. I wore it to an October wedding.
I recommend a style that's form fitting so you don't look like you're trying to hide your belly. Plus, at 20-25 weeks you may not be as round as you think. I had a little belly, but nothing super pregnant looking.
ETA: I should add that I refuse to spend a ton of money on a nice maternity dress I'll most likely only wear once. You'll be surprised what you can find on JC Penney's website and at Target during the holiday season/late fall. Also check out Goodwill - I scored LOTS of brand new maternity wear at Goodwill since the items get worn once or twice and then donated.

Great ideas! I swear I always forget about JCPenny and it's one of the few stores we have around here.
We had a great appointment/ultrasound! Saw a pretty little baby & a heartbeat of 159! She bumped my due date up one day so we're now 2/23/17! So relieved. We're telling DH's family tonight & mine this weekend!
