So many ((hugs)) opheliainwaders. PgAL brain is so, so hard. I hope the shower and podcast help! I know that early on, anytime I had an appointment, I could never sleep a wink the night before. (which would make me super exhausted the next day but I'd sleep like a rock the following night! ) I don't remember when that anxious feeling dissipated but I think once I started feeling LO on a daily basis, I wasn't as anxious or nervous anymore.
All the possible vibes for an amazing scan tomorrow!! Try to relax or distract yourself and breathe. 10am will be here sooner than you think

I had a bunch of mantras I used the day before early ultrasounds with my AL pregnancies. It helped a lot. In my case I used Bible verses, but whatever works for you.

you have my hugs!!! The anxiety is the worst The mantras from this group helped me a lot, as did just really talking about it with DH/here/wherever. And for the rest, distraction helped me a lot. Only in combination with talking, though... otherwise my brain would store it up for overnight panic mode.
Anxiety sucks. Meditation helps me. For acute anxiety, I also do this thing called 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. It engages all your sense which makes its hard for anxiety to survive through.
5. Pick a color and find 5 things in that color in the area surrounding you.
4. Find 4 different sounds- the first 2 are usually easy and then you have to focus to hear the last 2. (Your own breathing, the air conditioner, etc.)
3. Feel 3 things of different textures. (Your pants, purse, couch you are sitting on.)
2. 2 smells. (Your perfume, etc.)
1. Taste something. I use keep mints or something on me.
I also do a breathing exercise where I breath in for 4 seconds, hold 4, breathe out 4, hold 4 and repeat til I feel my heart rate go down.
And sometimes a book or movie can get you out of your head.

Also, glb30, I meant to tell you that I totally used the 5,4,3,2,1 exercise while waiting for the scan, and it is fantastic. Thank you so much for recommending it!
+1! Thanks so much glb30 for recommending this meditation exercise. I've saved it in my notes on my phone and have referred back to it a few times already!
