younglove316, it is cancellation city in my moms' group. Even people who are more my mom friends tend to cancel with extreme frequency. I don't really get it. I cancel if my kids are infectious and otherwise we tend to stick it out. I hope your playdate is fun and stressfree otherwise.
We have music class and then our terrible baby-sitter is coming for a while so I can do a major housecleaning to try to prepare for DH to leave for 5 days...

forevermorgan They were able to confirm my early elective u/s 16 weeks was right! We are definitely having another girl They still couldn't get pictures of the heart so we might have to come back again.
Just got back from our walk and she's already awake. Usually walks put her to sleep for at least an hour or two. This suuuuucks. She needs to stop boycotting naps.
penguin129 Glad all went well and you know for sure it's another girl! I'd say that's a great start to the weekend! I wouldn't say they are the best for my feet, but I do like Sanuk flips for the yoga mat sole... just in case you feel like still trying to wear them.
+1 to the flaky mom group. I feel like it just makes me more likely to be flaky because I know everyone else is (and technically shouldn't care)... it's a slippery slope.
The boys are all sorts of nuts today. I just can't win with the whining and now here I am, transferring my whining to you all. Sorry about that. It may have to be a baking afternoon so I can sneak some sweets into my system as payment for the crazy morning.
No plans for the weekend except yardwork and cleaning. Anyone else have more fun planned?

When ds was a baby we would have to drive around for him to nap. *hugs* hope she finds a love of sleep soon

We've gone on a few drives, but she always wakes up as soon as we get home, so it's rarely worth it unless she's just over tired and needs a primer.
We went on a second walk a little bit ago and she's been asleep for about 30 minutes now. So FX she keeps it up!

I'm sorry for your rough day with the whining!
I've got fun planned. I have a friend coming over shortly and we're going to go get an ice cream cake (my birthday is Monday) and pig out. Though we may change our minds and just get regular cake and a thing of ice cream. We'll see.

I loveeeee ice cream cake. But no one I hang with likes it so I almost never get it.

When I was working I would always buy one for one of the houses so I would have an excuse to get one. lol. Haven't had one in years!
teraiin, are your friends even human?!? If you (including @led) are talking about DQ ice cream cakes, they make "cupcakes" (individual sized cakes that come in the sundae cups), so no need to wait for a group to eat some.
MH is gone until late, so LO and I are hanging out. Going to make pancakes in a bit, plus homemade whipped cream to go with (our pancakes are similar to French crepes). Hoping I can stay awake long enough to watch a movie with MH after LO falls asleep, but it is not looking good as I already can't stop yawning.

Excuse me while I hunt down these individual sized ice cream cakes,...

I wish we would have gone with DQ. That's what I've always gotten before, but we have a BR a few blocks away, so that's where we went. It was gross. I'm so disappointed.

We are starting crib training again tonight for DD2. She's 8 months and needs to be in in already. So far it's off to a terrible start so there's that.
My day was pretty good, two moms showed up so that was good. I see them the most so I think I'm just going to stop trying to include the whole group and just see the ones who don't always cancel.
Also, my mom took the girls and I to get ice cream and I managed to leave my entire diaper bag. Fingers crossed its still there because there is no working phone number online for them.

I've only ever had DQ. Good to know I shouldn't stray now that we live near more options. Sorry you had to experience that though. Better get a DQ cupcake to make yourself feel better.

Thanks ladies! I was nervous when they couldn't get the measurements they needed the first and second times, but I guess the third time was the charm
I haven't had an ice cream cake in a while. The last one I had was chocolate with Thin Mints on it. We got it from a Grocery Store. It was oh so good. When I was younger and we lived in PA my parents would get me an ice cream cake for my birthday almost every year. It was so cold they could keep the ice cream cake outside and it wouldn't melt.
