I wear the lightest clothes/foot gear and the least amount of clothes to my ob appointments. I don't care when I go to my regular doctor but I stress about it when I'm pregnant and going for a belly check.

omg I did the same thing this morning for my appt. Alas, it didn't work I've gained 5 lbs in a month

I'm ridiculous, too. I took my cardigan off in the freezing cold waiting room, so that I wouldn't look silly removing a layer before stepping on the scale. I weighed one pound less this week than two weeks ago, I totally think it was the difference in clothing. (ie- this time a tank and light pants, last time, jeans and tennis shoes, etc)
I ate sushi the other night. I couldn't help myself and had a few of the raw pieces too. It's a well known super high quality place so I'm telling myself it's fine. I also had a craving for an Italian sub the other day, which I ate. With DD I was SO by the books and avoided all the remotely "bad" items. I'm finding myself a bit more lax this time around.
I tried to get the NT ultrasound tech to guess at the sex even though 1) it's absurdly early and 2)the techs aren't supposed to talk about/interpret what they see. With DD I had an awesome chatty older woman who had been doing her job for 15 yrs. She guessed DD was a girl at our NT (with a "keep your receipts if you buy anything" caveat lol). I secretly really wanted a guess this time too and was disappointed when we didn't get it.

Yes! I was a pound down this week. I was upset at my first appointment because their number was a couple off from my home number. Totally blaming the clothes!
I'm using 1/22 as my due date instead of my LMP EDD (1/25). My OB is going by LMP and won't change it, even based on my scans, (all 3 of which have matched my calculation for gestational age exactly), because it's "within the variability of the measurements". Boo to that. I know when I ovulated and know I'm 3 days ahead.

I'm convinced scales in drs offices automatically add at least 2 lbs lol. I always seem to be lighter at home...

ellabee, I've eaten a bunch of lunch meat this pregnancy. I don't even like it that much, and havenn't craved it or anything. But it's been super convenient at lunch several times.
I've also had a few bites of sushi.
I wouldn't jusdge someone for being crazy strict about avoiding those foods, and wouldn't judge (but join!) anyone sampling them in relative moderation.
Caffeine? I could definitely use some improvement there.

TWINS. My EDD is 1/26 based on LMP. I know that, based on ovulation, my "real" due date should be 1/22. Yesterdday, as my US, the tech asked twice if my periods were regular.
The first time I said "yes" and the second time I said "yes, regular/consistent, but I have a short cycle and know that I ovulated 4 days earlier than my due date would assume."
I got sweet validation when she said "YES! All of your measurements are 3 or 4 days ahead!"
Just found out we're having another girl Our third. I'm excited and disappointed at the same time. This is probably our last and H is the last male of his family. I'm sad that we may never have a son and his family name may die with him.

Triplets! For DS they originally said 5/8 and then moved it to 5/12 even though I knew the first date was closer and the doctor at the NT scan said they should change it back based on his size. Jokes on them because he came early!
Yesss that must have felt so good judyblume14 ! We can be defiant 1/22-ers together.
DD was a full 2 weeks early, though. What's the deal with second babies? I mean, duh, all pregnancies and deliveries are different. But statistically, do second babies come sooner/later?

Congratulations! I completely understand your feelings though. I'm torn between hoping for team pink or blue this time.

I think they tend to come earlier on the whole from what I've read/heard.
This is my thing too - DD was 3 days early. I suspect LO 2.0 will be early too and I don't want to be unprepared (mostly at work) for a week+ early departure.

My RE was using LMP for my due date, but this was an IUI we triggered we know when I ovulated so I just use my O date to get my due date. Chick has always been right on schedule with that and Duck is usually a day behind. I was going to argue it with him but it was 2 days and I was so grateful to be KU. I doubt I will even make it to January anyway.
sandj918 congrats and I totally get your feelings.
My main reason for being team green is we have already had 4 boys and 1 girl. I am pretty sure this baby will be another boy, but holding out til delivery gives me a chance to hold out that hope that maybe we are team pink. I know I'll be totally excited with whatever it is when it's handed to me, and I'm mentally preparing for a boy, but I will be just a teeny bit disappointed that it's not a girl, but not disappointed that it's a boy- if that makes any sense? Lol.

This is me 100% except with no current girls my house besides myself and my pets.
