Good morning, solo parenting over here. DD is eating a waffle picnic style while I sit on the couch.
My nephews birthday party is today but I just found out about it last night because she did Facebook invites. Technically I wasn't invited but I know I should be there. I have no gift and no desire to go so we shall see what happens.
Good morning! I'm having a bit of me time today, which is pretty nice. I was supposed to meet up with a friend for a walk, but she cancelled at the last minute so I just did it myself. It turned out to be nice in the end because I was able to run a bit.
Now I'm sitting in Starbucks, drinking a delicious coffee and reading my book, then I'm heading to the movies.
DH and DD are having some quality time together going to a petting zoo near our house, so it's nice for them to have some bonding time since I'm with her all week.

@meeggaanw maybe I'm petty but I say no invite, don't bother. If they wanted you there you would have known earlier
We plans at 11 to visit my friend and swim in her pool. I haven't seen her much since she stopped working at the office a few months ago to be a yoga teacher full time. Hoping the pool tires out DS and he takes a good nap.
meeggaannw did the parents invite anybody prior to last night, or was it just a last minute thing they threw together. Either way, I wouldn't feel obligated to go if you don't want to. People need time to plan their weekends!

I guess it's been in the works for a couple of weeks just no one mentioned it to me. It's also at my SIL parents house which isn't close and not my favorite place and its from 2-5. I just know it's going to be hot, crazy, and overwhelming. I think y'all helped me decide not to go. DD naps at 4 anyway.

Morning everyone!
Working today but Saturday's are short days so it's okay. Plus, I get the office to myself which is awesome. The downside? No company means no one to keep you from falling asleep at the desk. *yawn* Oh well.
We have no weekend plans, really. Going to a family get together at a close friend's place tomorrow afternoon because one of their daughters is in town for a visit. Should be fun. Or draining. Or both.
My sister is on her way over to watch DS while DH and I go out, which we haven't done in quite a while. DS is currently napping. My sister has never watched him by herself before so I'm a bit apprehensive.

Hey everyone. I got to sleep in today which was nice. I woke up with a headache and cramps, which is not nice. I am in an overall blah mood. DS is napping and hopefully my attitude with readjust itself by the time he wakes up.

The investment property we have is having some kind of an issue so we have a repairman coming and will be there from 4-7. I can't wait to be able to sell the property. H & I are supposed to meet my friend for dinner at 5, I wouldn't mind cancelling dinner. I may just go and H will stick around for the repairman. We will see right now I am relaxing, eating a fruit salad including melons and cantaloupe.

No sushi cravings here either. I have been craving mac and cheese and steak all day though. We are going to Costco soon and I am gonna hit up all the samples.
Solo parenting over here for the weekend too. DH has a bachelor party, so I suspect I won't see him until Monday.
I crave spicy tuna rolls sometimes. I didn't eat any sushi at all last time and my awesome MIL brought me a huge assortment when they visited us in the post partum ward. I love her.
My DD is 2yrs3months and the defiance/boundary testing is unreal right now. Where did my sweet agreeable little babe go?!? It's terrible that after a trying day of solo parenting I can't collapse on the couch with a drink. Oye vey.

ellabee, seriously. +1 to everything you said. DS was just being so cuddly and sweet. Thirty seconds later he throws a toy dump truck (small) at my face and runs away laughing. Wtf.
Since drinking is not an option, I will be enjoying Oreos once he goes to bed.
Down in VA for a mini family reunion. Too many people and seven dogs. I can't put DS down and everyone is drinking. I spent all day being the dd and driving everyone to the wineries and then supervisoring DS who just wanted to run around. Super fun day. The pregnancy rage is strong right now.
On the plus side I was able to pop into the huge antique place and grabbed two pieces of fiesta. And my grandpa made a delicious ham and some mac&cheese for dinner.

lakegirl, the food would make me feel a bit better but boo to being DD all day. I would be in a foul mood if I had to drive people to wineries all day because wine is my jam. And drunk people are annoying (unless I am drunk, of course)
heybulldog56 I love the wineries so it's very sad. I told my mom that this baby doesn't need anything so just bring wine in January to make up for what I'm missing this weekend!

We took a walk tonight, I felt so accomplished that we got out the door and moving. We stopped by my parents for a visit and ended up being gone over an hour. On the way home I was trying to remember if I locked the door. We get up the sidewalk and the door was wide open. Not only did I not lock it, I didn't even shut it. Oh pregnancy brain is real. ETA hopefully there isn't a murderer hiding in my closet. 😬
+1 to having a challenging child today. DD is almost 4 and it only seems to be getting worse. She doesn't listen, ever. It's beyond frustrating and I just want wine. I am settling for fresh chocolate chip cookies and pizza tonight.
I pulled the pregnancy card and we are sleeping in separate hotel beds tonight. So much space! All the pillows! Plus I don't have to smell mh's alcohol breath! He was a little butthurt about it but we had a fun shower to make up for it 😉

Had a really lovely day which included yoga, DD mostly behaving at home, and a fun family pool party (where we saw some out of town cousins for the first time in 3ish years).
Tomorrow we have swim class, then I get solo pool time while DD naps and DH does his chores (poor guy has to do his on the weekend. I do mine on Fridays while I work from home).
Then we'll play in the pool all afternoon and do an easy dinner. And I'm really going to try to run/jog/skip/not-walk for maybe 20 minutes when it gets a little cooler tomorrow evening.
