We're still recovering from DS's birthday party. I can't believe he's 1! We also drove to his dr appointment this morning where we were told that it's actually tomorrow. At the same time as my OB appointment was. Oops! They were booked until August, so we decided to keep his appointment tomorrow, and I rescheduled my OB appointment for Thursday. At 7:45 AM Apparently my mind is like a sieve.
Off to get control of this mess of toys. I need to get rid of baby toys so we have room for toddler toys!

Feeling blah, and there's no food in my house so I can't constantly graze to keep the nausea away, but I also don't want to take my 2 grumpy kids to the grocery store. I'm choosing to be nauseous over taking my kids to the store. That's pretty telling for new parents.

I had really bad nausea over the weekend and threw up for the first time. I feel OK this morning.
These next two weeks are going to be crazy. I have my capstone paper due this coming weekend. I have to pack, put our stuff in storage, and move in with my parents in another state. Then, I have a final paper due for my other class. Meanwhile, I have a ton to do at work since I'm leaving soon. No idea how I will survive, but looking forward to being done with all of it!

shawnabm1320 - Congrats on the one year old ! One of my favorite chores is getting rid of old toys. I love clearing them out LOL BTW I'm very type A. Also, I saw your friend's comment about the baby weight - dick move, friend! I have a weight-related vent below...
notagoddess - Sounds like you have a lot going on. Just remember the capstone will be done soon, and the storage/moving woes will be short-lived. You can do eet! FX the puking passes, too.
Monday Vent: I told my cousin I was KU. Her response: "Congrats! But man, I heard a second baby ruins your body. Like, it'll never be the same and you'll never loose the weight. I bet that'll totally suck. Good luck with that." Bitch, fuck you. Like a huge middle finger to you. BTW she has no biological children, says her vagina is for recreation/decoration only, and (warning: totally judgey comment coming) has been very overweight her entire adult life and does NOTHING about it (she was moderately fit in HS and completely let herself go with no abandon - good for her if she's comfortable; however, all she does is bitch about her weight). I would never, ever say anything to her about her eating/exercise habits. WTF makes her think it's okay to say something like that to a newly PG person?! Just... seriously... F her.
This is the same woman who touched my belly CONSTANTLY when I was PG with J. I finally told her to stop, and she said, "Well, I wouldn't care if I was pregnant." I said excitedly, "Oh, you're planning to have kids?!" to which she replied, "Oh, hell no, I hate children." [Face palm]

I have zero energy for the past two days. I have soo much to do and I just can't get up the energy to do it. Work is going to be a struggle this week...

Today is our first ultrasound in a couple of hours. I am a little nervous. Also not really looking forward to announcing at work. I just know there will be comments about having another one "so soon". This weekend was a bitch. Spent it lying on the couch feeling like death. At least DH is being awesome and taking care of DD for the most part.
shawnabm1320 Happy birthday to your DS! littleredfish Grocery store trips with well behaved kids are still a pain in the ass much less when they are misbehaving. Feel ya on your choice to forgo the trip. notagoddess Good luck with your busy two weeks! I hope you feel like a million bucks when it's all said and done! oldbaylover1024 Sorry your cousin was rude. People seem to have no filter when you're preg.
We took DD to see The Secret Life of Pets at the drive-in this weekend. She was asleep within the first five minutes. So DH and I had a nice date night at a kids movie lol. We also switched her out of her crib this weekend and into a full size bed! So far so good.

littleredfish - Oh believe me, I wanted to. But we were in front of a ton of other people and I didn't feel like causing a scene. I think I'm going to send a passive aggressive text along the lines of: "It was great seeing you Saturday! But the next time you talk to a newly PG person, maybe don't tell them their body is going to be ruined while producing new life. Mkay? See you in a few weeks!"

I'm definitely more paranoid about what I'm wearing this time around. Last time I was hiding a pregnancy it was winter-ish, so I could wear cardigans and lots of layers. Much easier. This time I'm desperately trying to suck in and failing. Meh.

Today's my last day of PTO, so I'm trying to be productive. I am not type A, so sifting through old clothes and toys is torture for me! I need an organizing guru! I just went through my 4 year old's drawers and found clothes size 18 months. Ha! Even though I have another baby coming, I was still getting teary packing away those tiny clothes. I blame hormones.

My OB's office called and said my urine sample showed a slight UTI. So they out me on antibiotics. Which gave me a yeast infection. Which means no sex for me.
Like zcookiemonster, I need to transition DS to a bed and I don't wanna. He sleeps so good in his crib. But he's 2.5, so it's really time. But I don't wanna.

shellbell, zcookiemonster - I was freaked out by the bed transition, too. Are you guys going straight to twin/full beds, or going crib-toddler bed-twin/full? We put J in a toddler bed first and I'm glad we did. She's fallen out a few times (even with a toddler rail) LOL (I know I shouldn't laugh, but she's so funny about it - she falls out then just says, "Shoot," and gets back in bed LOL). We're moving her to a full bed this winter - she'll be 3.5.

I just got home from my first OB appt. It started at 10:30. 3.5hrs long and did not include an ultrasound (that's next week). Cue massive freaking headache. Thankfully, DD2 is napping so I can have some quiet time to lie down.

oldbaylover1024 we have the thing to covert the crib to a toddler bed, so we'll probably do that first. We already have a twin mattress and need to get a bed frame/headboard. We bought the kit to use the crib as a full bed, but I don't want to have the whole room filled up with bed! I'm thinking DS will do okay with the transition. He doesn't even stand up in his crib now. But he's also a creature of habit, so.
Ugh, sorry no u/s, ls2012. Did they do a doppler or anything? FX for a great scan next week!
Thanks! No, they didn't but it seemed like they did everything else: intake, labs, physical. Thank goodness for my home doppler, but it'd be nice to have my findings confirmed.
ls2012 that sucks! Do they not have an u/s machine in the office so they had to schedule you separately? And seconding what oldbaylover1024 said did you at least get to hear the HB?
shellbell We transitioned to toddler bed at 15 or 16 months with DD. She did really well with it but the first morning she walked into our room and wanted in bed with us so that was new.
One of my coworkers has guessed I'm preggo. She took me so much by surprised I didn't even know how to react. She said the m/s was her first clue and that I suddenly stopped drinking with them every Friday night. I don't think anyone else had caught on, but it's only a matter of time. I was hoping to wait until at least our first scan.
zcookiemonster Well the only reason we switched her is because we had a bad thunderstorm come through last week which woke her up and since then she's been TERRIFIED to sleep in her room. So after 3 nights of trying everything to get her to sleep in the crib and failing and pulling her into our room we decided to try the full bed. We kept pumping it up getting excited and calling it the "big girl bed". It's nice because I can sit on the edge of it and read to her/rub her back until she falls asleep which we couldn't do with the crib.
I'm just hoping to get back to when she would tell us she was tired and then we'd put her in her crib and walk out and that was that for the night Definitely took that for granted.
We had our first appointment with my suburban OB. I kind of miss my big city practice and fancy Chicago hospital! Wah! Oh well, that's what I get for moving and I KNOW I'll be grateful not to have to drive an hour plus in the snow to give birth this winter. In less complainy news, we saw our little gummy bear. I could not believe how much baby was moving and waving!!!
I am planning to tell my boss Friday and I am freaking out. I think she knows since I have had a few appointments and I have given up on sucking in my tummy.
I am still fighting the cold that never ends. I spent Saturday throwing up, but I don't know if it's because I accidentally skipped a dose of Diclectin or because I was coughing so violently that it triggered it. Either way, puking while congested is the worst. The pressure forced all of the congestion straight into my nose, so that I couldn't breathe while I was throwing up and convinced myself this is how I'm going to die.
I'm sitting at the walk-in clinic at the moment because I haven't been able to hear out of my left ear since Friday afternoon.
DS was supposed to have an MRI tomorrow which has been rescheduled, so I'm pissy about that too.
On a positive note, first ultrasound on Friday, so I'm counting down the days for that.
