We are doing a retro car theme for our baby boy nursery. Here is the fabric I bought that my mom and I are making curtains, crib skirt, changing pad cover and pillow out of. The main accent color will be navy.
We painted the walls a pale blue grey. And so far the only furniture in our room in our glider. The pillow I made is too small for the chair... So I'm going to remake the same one just bigger. Our crib and dresser are white. *poof*

Our crib is up and the dresser/changing table was moved in. We used curtains to cover the closet. The curtains for the closet and window match the comforter we got for our Wedding almost 5 years ago. Here are some pics. I hope to get nicer ones later.

All of your photos are so beautiful!! I love everything!
penguin129 where do you buy your fabric? We don't have many options up here, I'm thinking of taking a drive to the States, but unsure where I should go.

Not Penguin, but one of my favorites for more reasonably priced things is Fabric.com; not sure about cost of shipping to Canada but may be worth looking into. They send nice-sized swatches fairly inexpensively, and have a *huge* selection. You can search by color, theme, pattern, application (drapery, upholstery, etc), price, and so on.

I've never checked them out, I'll take a look thanks! I have an US address I send stuff to and go pick up worst case scenario so it's not too bad if thy don't ship up here
W Can the crib and bookcase switch places? Obviously I can't see the rest of your room but it seems like the wall the bookcase is currently on would fit the crib well and you wouldn't feel like you were squeezing it in.
Also, the one thing I'd worry about...not so much now but when baby is old enough to pull up in the crib...are the window blinds. Those could def be a safety hazard, esp. if the cords are in reach.
W Ok, gotcha, I see what you mean. Hmm. (Super cute bed, btw!) What is happening on the 4th wall that is not in pictures? Closet?
Not knowing what's on that 4th wall...could the bed go on the wall with the window (if it wouldn't interfere too much with windowsill), maybe tucked into the corner that's not shown the pictures; then put the crib on the wall where you currently have the bed planned, and keep the bookcase on the middle wall?
Maybe you have tried this and it's a no-go based on what else is happening in the room
If that doesn't work, maybe flip the crib and bed from the way you showed them originally, so you wouldn't have to worry about crib near windows? I don't think it's the end-of-the-world to have the bookcase near-ish the crib, but I think I'd just be concerned about drapery/shades/blinds as baby gets older and is able to reach out of crib and grab stuff.
W I'd be more worried about the crib next to the window than next to the bed or shelf. We had the same problem and had to rearrange everything. Hopefully you can figure out another layout that will work better.
W It looks good. My husband would love if I mapped out furniture placement like you. I drive him crazy with how many times I ask him to move stuff when he knows it won't work. I have to see it to know for sure.

If it makes you feel any better, I do the same thing to my H, and I have an interior design degree and my own business
With my clients I can make quick decisions and have no problem telling them what will/won't work; in my own home, I agonize and waffle. It torments my poor husband.

W, I can't stop washing baby's clothes! And I'm so glad I'm not the only one labeling all the things, lol! I say it's because I'm trying to make it easier on H, but really I just like labeling...
