W, ummmmmm..... I'm stealing your idea for sure! Tell me, is there a specific paint brand that has the circle chips or did you have to cut them yourself? Soooooooo cute
It looks like she cut them it you look closely at the pictures.
penguin129, oh man, that would be painful! Maybe there is some sort of sharp cutting device I could find at the craft store...
P.S. I accidentally typed 'shart' before correcting it to 'sharp.' Although a shart cutting device might be equally helpful for someone prone to sharting...

You ladies are so crafty! I'm terrible at crafts. I like to think of myself as creative, I just lack the motivation to keep a project going. I have no idea what we're going to do as far as room changes go. I figure I'll have a month or two after it comes to figure things out Lol

I literally just got a bajillion at lowes and Home Depot of different brands then I bought a circle paper cutter. Michaels has them BOGO 1/2 off I think.
I did discover that circle punch in my interwebs journey today. I'm thinking I might steal your idea but just do a single layer above the crib and elephants. I have to see what it looks like once the elephants are up.

Now that we know we're having a girl, I want to do a subtle Japanese garden theme. I'm thinking soft pink, green and white for the colors.
Only problem is we don't have a place to live for now. We're staying with my parents waiting for a short sale to go through. Starting the nursery is just one reason I can't wait to move.

That sounds lovely (love cherry blossoms)! Hope your sale goes fast and you get to move in asap!

I hung the elephants and the monogram. I still feel like something is missing above the elephants. Like something hanging from the ceiling and wall. Maybe paint chip garland or felt hearts...
penguin129 looks so good! Gorgeous print on the fabric
I do agree something higher up or hanging would be good. A paint chip mobile would for sure be oretty
I'm not sure I have the patience W did to do a whole mobile. Lol! I'm thinking a single layer above the elephants in different shades of pink. I need to Pinterest some more.

I have one more wall to decorate over the crib. Any ideas? I was thinking maybe frames with prints from etsy. Maybe a Dream Big Little One to go with the blanket.

Nursery progress pic: *poof* My mom and I made the curtains, pillow, and crib skirt. My mom made the quilt. The decal is from etsy. I haven't gotten a mattress yet but the sheets will be navy. I also got the navy mesh bumpers.
Ok ladies, so I've been going back and forth on what kind of mobile to make, and I finally settled on the one pictured below. I loved the paint chip mobile but I would have felt really awkward taking all of those chips, lol!
This took forever and I'm honestly not sure if it's too long or just right. So there's a slight possibility I might rip it all apart one day and shorten things.
I do love that baby will see such pretty roses when she looks up, it looks waaay better looking up at it vs. from the side:
P.S. I also felt a little bad after I started working on it because I never even bothered to get DH's opinion on it at all... It's definitely going to take center stage a bit in the room... He seems to like it but I'm sure he would have picked something different. Oh well!
Evelyn3 & crimpgirl, thank you! I'm a little on the fence about it, especially not sure if it will go with our other 'fun' decor. I don't know why I'm so indecisive about decorating this nursery!! I think I just need to see more of it come together before I know for sure what fits.
