shellbell you're right in the fact that I know I have changed as well...but I am still a good friend. I am always there for these girls. I make myself available to help them with whatever it may be. I guess I'm just hurt that I'm not even remembered for a hang out. And I guess I'm a little worried how much more things are about to change, with them and with other friends.
I'd love to make more "mom friends" around where I live--but I find it hard to meet people.

flyinghorses6 - that happened to us, too. We got married first and had the first baby... Our friends disappeared for a while. Until they started getting on the married-with-kids train. Then they suddenly "understood and could relate." Nice. Let's talk about the three years you abandoned me... And we did. It was an enormous reality check for them, and frankly, made me feel better to unload.
It'll be different one day. Or your make friends who will treat you the same and respect your shift in priorities. I had a core group that understood, and it really made me value their love.
Like you, I make a tremendous effort. It pays off. Believe me. It will. {{hugs}}

We have a boil water order for 2-3 days. DH is at wegmans to pick up some water because i can only boil so much. I should have had him pick up a pizza.
We were right on the cut off for this. Thank god. I feel so bad for you!!

Anyone else riding the crazy nauseous train tonight? I'm almost in tears I feel so weak. We are at MIL's and I had to leave the dinner table yesterday to throw up, hoping the same doesn't happen again tonight.
Also, I feel ya all on the friends shift when having kids. Two of mine have crossed over now and totally apologized to me about how everything changed. I secretly smile when they complain about not getting any sleep

I wondered about you! I heard your town is calling for a boiling order, but mainly the northern part. The water authority didn't call for it. We didn't experience any problems last night, but our town is included so I'm not taking chances.
I'm also very disappointed about how information has been disseminated. If you don't watch morning news or get on Facebook the minute you wake up...you didn't know. That's not okay, IMO.
zcookiemonster the evenings are the worst. I force myself to make dinner and eat dinner, and then I'm nauseated until my 9pm bagel. Sometimes I can power through to get chores done, etc, but sometimes I'm on the couch.

Yea the whole thing was an absolute mess. They didn't announce the northern part until this afternoon. I called the water authority and he's like oh well you can if you want but it's probably not necessary for anyone to. He said he thinks they're being overly cautious. I'm like uhhhh yea it's our water supply... You should be...

I certainly hope they wouldn't be breezy about contaminated water. I'd much rather boil than get sick. Or have it harm LO2. Or have a sick toddler.

I'm going to have a chicken tender basket from DQ for the third time this week. Until this week I hadn't had food from DQ in 5 years!!! We were planning veggie kabobs but it is too flipping hot to grill...
Tomorrow I am telling my boss and feel sick every time I think about it. She has been in a MOOD this week but I don't want to wait because I have more Drs appointments next week and it's starting to look weird that I've been gone so much. It was so fun and easy announcing the first one! Why do I feel like I've done something wrong?!?!
Hugs to nauseated mamas and mamas boiling water. What a pain!
If DH wasn't working, I'd send him out. But -- whomp whomp -- you can't get a Diet Coke anywhere because no water. If I'm having chicken strips, I'm going to need a Diet Coke.

This is true for me too. It's all I can do to clean up dinner without gagging. But then around 9:30 I'm hungry. So I eat something else, and then feel sick again. I'm just thankful that I've been feeling a lot better during the day. Thank you, placenta!
