I have no desire to get out of bed right now. It's hot and sticky out, dd2 is playing nicely in her room, and I know- I Know- the second I sit up my stomach will be pissed that I did. Bleh.

Against all my better instincts I went to McDonald's for a breakfast sandwich today. I know I should have ordered the little burritos cause those are hard to screw up, but I ordered a sausage bagel. What I got was steak who wants formed steak, with a couple cooked onions on top, at McDonald. Bleh!

My husband got called out to work 3 times last night but they're letting him come home to sleep. We have to babysit today so he'll get some peace and quiet.
I told my boss yesterday. It was too stressful trying to hide everything at work (I work for a really small company). He was thrilled for me and my H! So that was really nice. I'm the first person in the company to have a baby while working here. I'm going to push for them to come up with a maternity leave policy.

staz - Yay! Glad you pulled the Band-Aid so to speak I work for a small company, too, and was the first to have a baby (all my coworkers are done having kids). We didn't come up with a formal policy, so I assumed no paid leave, but I got the 12 weeks I asked for so no big deal. My boss ended up paying me 70% of my salary for the 12 weeks! I have no idea what to expect this time - same pay, 70%, or no pay - but my advice is to plan for worst case, and don't be afraid to ask for what you want, even though your company is small.

Had my blood taken today, and so far I'm not horribly bruised! Amazing! I really liked my nurse. I wish I could have her every time. Yay! I'm about to put DS down for a nap and try knocking things off my to-do list. I don't really want to - I just want to sit here and possibly nap... But alas, I hate napping anyway, and my house is bugging me. I'm already thinking we have too much to do before the baby gets here! And we have like 31 weeks to go.... Lol
So last night at work i had this convo w my coworker: Her: (randomly comes up to me): Congratulstions!! I heard you're pregnant! Me (deer in headlights): uh what? I'm Not pregnant... Who did u hear that from?? Her: I honestly don't remember Me: well... No.... Do I LOOK pregnant?! Her: OMG no! But people were saying you were! that we have so many pregnant people! Me: uhhhhhhhhh .... No.....? Her: oh damn. Sorry. Me: but who was saying that?? Her: I don't remember!
😏 I'm keeping it a secret at work as long as I can, especially until we get the results back from the DNA test and after we meet with the genetic counselor. I don't need middle school level gossipy women to know my personal business. (Even though I feel awkward lying) but I was like WHAT!!!! Who the hell thinks I'm pregnant? I suffered from migraines so I've been saying I've been having bad migraines lately to excuse the headaches and nausea but damn people!!!!

I've spent the entire day sitting on the couch. It's been amazing. A friend took DS this morning and they had a blast playing. Now he's napping and I'm back to doing nothing.

pivot - Cute dress! If I didn't have two bins full of maternity clothes, I would totally buy something LOL
FYI I purchased some clothing from H&Ms maternity line last go around. LOVED their stuff! They actually sold cute, solid colored shirts. In 3/4 length no less!

Major TMI alert!!!
My nipples have been super itchy the last couple of days. This morning I noticed there was a bunch of crusty stuff all over them. So weird! Anyone else experiencing that?

I'm on vacation this week. Today I took DS to the zoo, pizza for lunch, and then the library. Now, I'm laying on the couch while he vacuums (totally his idea). it was so hot at the zoo and now I'm all sticky. I should probably take a shower, but I'd rather continue laying here.

notagoddess - Yes, and totally normal. Pick up some Aquaphor, that should help the itchiness and the crustiness.
Nothing nipple related is TMI on a BMB, right?!
Just wait until someone starts leaking... started with me at 6 months when I was PG with J. Not a fun surprise.
ETA: The crustiness could be one of two things - stretched skin that's giving way/growing, or leaking. Both are normal. If you see a color to the leak, call your OB. May be worth mentioning at your next appointment anyway. But my understanding (and experience with J) says normal. Disclaimer - I am not a doctor LOL

I second the Aquaphor or you could go ahead and pick up so Lanolin. That was a lifesaver when I was breastfeeding so you'll probably need it come February anyways
We have a boil water order for 2-3 days. DH is at wegmans to pick up some water because i can only boil so much. I should have had him pick up a pizza.

I hate how people change when you have a kid. Of my friends, I am the only one with a baby (and now with number 2 on the way), and it pisses me off how people just bounce out of your life. All my gfs are together today swimming at one of their houses. Didn't even get a text invite. I literally do everything I can to stay in touch with everyone and it's like the second you aren't constantly available to get hammered and go out all night- you're totally forgotten.
Sorry for this rant. But this is another big reason I haven't told anyone and am not excited to announce this pregnancy. Pretty much only people who will take it well are my husbands friends wives (who all have kids).
flyinghorses6 my friends list has really changed since I became a mom. My availability isn't the same, I have less time, and frankly, when I do have time off, I'm pickier about how i spend that time. So my friends have changed -- but I've changed too.
I'm trying hard to make a couple good mom friends who could be "couple" friends with DH and me. It's hard for me. I'm an introvert, so it takes a lot for me to pursue a relationship. I've made one good friend, and I hope I can make a few more.
But both DH and I have commented on the fact that this seems like a lonely time for us.
