So, a couple of weeks ago, I had a bad bug bite and Normadix told me to keep an eye on it because cellulitis makes her nervous. I knew nothing about cellulitis so I googled a bit and freaked myself out. But decided I didn't have cellulitis and my bug bite healed.
Fast forward to today. My mom mentioned that my stepdad took a sick day today, which he never does. He had a fever, vomiting, excruciating pain on his body, etc. She also mentioned that he got a bug bite over the weekend so she wants him to be checked for Lyme. I had her call him and I asked him if the bite was warm. He was out of it and told her yes but he was just trying to sleep it off. I told him to go to the ER and get checked for cellulitis. Well, he did. And it is. He's being treated and will be fine but thank you, normadix, if you didn't mention that a few weeks ago, who knows what would have happened.
Oh I'm glad to hear he was checked out and is now being treated! I remember when my dad had it and it was scary, we had to drag him to the ER but am so glad we did. Hope he feels better soon
I was nervous with the title, I thought I was being called out for something bad and was like "what celebrity gossip post could have gotten me in trouble?!?" Lol

I'm glad he's going to be ok. My grandma had this last fall from a bug bite that got infected. She felt so much better after the Iv antibiotics and the antibiotics she took when she got home.
Hope your dad feels better! I had cellulitis when I was pregnant with soph and it is the most painful thing I've ever experienced.
Oh my gosh. That seriously sounds like a nightmare.
It was in my foot and lower shin so I couldn't walk. It started off sore and got increasingly painful in the matter of hours. I'd rather give birth 10x over. Your poor dad.

Ugh. Sounds awful. Hopefully they gave him some good drugs.

I also had cellulitis while I was pregnant. Caused by MRSA, of course, because if the worst thing can happen to me it always does. I had 8 bumps on my butt cheek and couldn't sit for almost 2 weeks. I would rather give vaginal birth to quintuplets.

The worst part is no pain meds cuz pregnant. Thankfully I was only 9 weeks along but it sure didn't help that tired miserable beginnings of first tri.
