abominationsnowman That is terrifying! I'm so glad your son is okay. I'm off to triple check that all of our outlets are covered.
He's three, so I am hoping he will understand the severity of playing with outlets. When he was eighteen months old, he would pull them outlet covers out and suck on them like a pacifier...so I stopped using them. I'm expecting grey hairs soon.
I'm dying to know how @janetheconquerer first day is going.
bibliothecary isn't today G's birthday?! Happy day to you both!
Sorry, crazy busy. No, not today. Today was his due date. Wednesday is cake day.
Happy cake day on Wednesday. Also, I used my waffle maker for the first time after your insistence that everyone should have one. I'm in love. Thank you bibliothecary, my pants will never fit again.
Today just sucked. After crappy workday I pick up M and he feel at my dad's. He's fine but he has a bump on his head and scratches on his cheek from a run in with the dog door. M's happy and giggly, so I know he's fine, but still. Then I manage to lock my dad out of his house when I'm taking M out to the car. I didn't have my spare key to his house, so he got in the car and we came home to get the spare key and then went and let him back in. He lives close, but out still cut until the time I had with M. I also did a gift exchange for another group I'm in and I apparently forgot to put that in gluten free. So I got 6 delicious looking cookies that I can't eat. H had one and I'm taking the rest to my co-workers.

So we had a pretty relaxing holiday Monday over here. It was nice having DH home for an extra day! Plus I got to sleep in, so that was awesome! I'm packing to take both boys to DS1'S lacrosse tournament out of town tomorrow. We are going to book a hotel for the night, so hopefully M does okay in the hotel. If his team does well, there might be a chance he plays on Thursday, which means 2 nights away, solo parenting. I feel like I need to pack everything and know I'm going to over pack and still forget something.

I'm feeling old today. I'm having to wear a wrist brace at the moment because my carpal tunnel is flaring up. Now my foot is hurting where I had bunion surgery. Hopefully once this storm passes some of the aches will go away. I feel like I'm too young to talk about feeling the weather in my bones, lol!
If anyone wants a recommendation for outlet covers after abominationsnowman 's story we have these in our house (il's provided them) and they work great (they're even a pita for me to get out).
ampaints I'm sorry for the rough day. I'm glad M doesn't realize he hurt himself. I'm sure your dad did a great job of making him feel better and he had a great day. If it makes you feel better W has gotten a few for head bruises and he brushes it off in like a minute.

I also get pains where I had my bunion surgery when there are big shifts in weather/pressure. I thought I was crazy making the link!
Confirming my suspicion that this baby is part mountain goat, she has started climbing up onto the kid-sized chairs and table in the sunroom. Twice yesterday DD1 came to tell DH that Abigail was sitting on top of the table. Go into the sunroom and there she is sitting on top of the table, grinning from ear to ear, proud to be king of the mountain, lol. I may have to invest in a padded suit for this kid.
skinandbones but if I'm understanding you the rapid test was negative so in reality there's no need for the medicine right? If it's just a viral thing antibiotics aren't going to do anything. But I do agree if he does have strep then why wait on meds. I've never heard that. I've had duct its write a script in case the longer test and back positive though

I feel storms in my hips. They get sore and achy. Pretty convinced I have arthritis at the age of 35.
I've had a waffle maker gathering dust since I got married a decade ago. Kids, upcoming birthday weekends for 3 of us, and a foolproof recipe sound like just the incentive I need to start using it!
