For those with kiddies in DC: What do you do with your child's artwork?
M is constantly coming home with artwork and we are running out of space for it all. One minute, SO and I are all, "We can't possibly throw any of this away!" And the next we're all, "What the hell are we going to do with this?"
Do you keep the good stuff and get rid of the not-so-good stuff? Do you keep it all?
I'm with flat0422 in that I toss as soon as d isn't looking (obviously F could care less). I don't get much from F, they do "crafts" that don't really go home.
I do have this display from ikea I keep meaning to put up. My plan is to display, enjoy, replace.
Daycare made us a binder with all of the artwork in plastic sleeves with the date on it. I absolutely love it. I wish the younger infant classroom did this when D was an infant and I wish their current daycare did artwork but this is a great way to store it and be able to look back on it.
Ooooo! I like that idea, jcar. I like that it's manageable and you can easily flip through and see everything.
We have a "Look what I made" plaque on her wall with hooks, but it's overrun with stuff. I'll see if I can find a pretty binder!
It really does pain me to throw the artwork away. I love looking back at the things my parents saved from when I was younger. Trips down memory lane are the best!

I just bought a big ass scrapbooking/photo storage box. I was shoving everything in for the first year or so. Now I'm a little more selective. I need to go through it all.
I've decided to keep stuff that they actually DID something on. Colored (scribbled), stamped their hand, something. OR if H1 is super excited about something, I'll hang it on the fridge for a bit (such as the ugly friggin star he brought home yesterday). The other random nonsense gets tossed.
Agreed on the random nonsense, pearsforpoops. She brought home a half painted paper plate with a fluff ball glued on. No idea what it's supposed to be. But the pig she made the other day is super cute and I'm totally keeping that!
