Oops sorry I forgot you weren't married! There I go assuming!
What factors play into your decision to not get married?
No worries! *poof*.
Oh weird, I wonder if my sister's now-husband had to do that (they were not married when either of my nieces were born, but are married now).
FTR I don't have any feels about people being married before kids. I think people should do what works for them, and being married doesn't guarantee a relationship. My dad is 1 of 7 kids. Two of his siblings had surprise pregnancies as teens. They went on to marry and have more kids, and are still together 30+ years later. My parents married first, had me, then separated before my 1st birthday!
I love doing casual dinner out with drinks and walking home in the city. It's so nice to talk and disconnect from the TV, etc. and just feel the vibe of the city together while we're out.
My favorite alcoholic drink is beer, by far. I've been doing IPA lately but like Mexican beers and ciders a lot, too.
What else do you miss about Chicago besides family and friends?
I miss people generally being friendly and humble. Not that New Yorkers aren't, it's just different. I also really miss the slower pace and quiet green neighborhoods out in the burbs.
Favorite dessert right now is Ben & Jerry's PB and cookies non-dairy. I have a crazy sweet tooth so I love pretty much everything. If I had cake in front of me everyday I would be in heaven.
Best childhood memory would have to be hanging out at my grandma and grandpa's house during the summer while my mom was at work. There were tons of neighborhood kids we played with and I basically ate mac n cheese, ramen and spaghettios for lunch everyday.
My favorite vacation was to Formentera. It is a small island near Ibiza in Spain. We were in Barcelona and went there for a few days during the off-season. We rented a scooter and explored without hardly anyone around, it was so beautiful and peaceful. It would be hard to get to from the states so I'm not sure we'll be back anytime soon.
What was your favorite course in college for your major?
If you could work in any other law field what would you choose?
Where do you like to shop online?
Poof
I hate clothes shopping for myself; I always feel so overwhelmed. I buy work clothes at BR and Ann Taylor and other stuff at Loft; I do the least in that respect. My SO is the fashion plate in our relationship and has way more clothes than I do. I love Target for everything else. I am jealous of you all who can shop Target in person. The ones in NY are hellish.
Do you live in NYC? What is your favorite thing about where you live?
I live in NYC. There is always something to see or do, even if it's just walking around. You can walk for miles and see so many different neighborhoods. I love the energy, too.
Are you vegetarian? For how long? Is your SO? Will your kid be one?
We went to Andres DC and it was awesome and relatively inexpensive given the exchange rate. I ate a lot of sides. The Wok by Parque de la 93 was also good and that area was fun to walk around (lots of kids in the park there). In Usaquen there is a really good Lebanese place called Beirut (I saw kids eating there, too).

Is it as magical there during Christmas as it seems on TV?
I went to NYC for my 21st. It was cool, but don't think I'd visit again (except during Christmas, maybe) but I loved Chicago so, so much! We only got to go for a day and a half, but we saw so much. I can't wait to go back.
Yes, it is magical at Christmas time. I'm a sucker for holiday markets and there a zillion of those all over. You just need to find ways to avoid the crowds, it's insane sometimes. You should come back!
Chicago is also an amazing city to visit. I still feel like a tourist because I grew up in the burbs. Hope you get to go again soon!
