I'm having a very anxious day. Chest pains are the worst. Idk why... I guess I'm getting nervous for baby to come. It's suddenly gotten very real and I feel very unprepared, mentally and emotionally. I dropped C off for her final half day at her new daycare. 2 seconds of tears then she was fine. That makes me happy. Next week starts full days! I went to see my midwife, went to get stuff to finish a project now I'm getting a pedicure. Trying to relax. Trying.
In an effort to make you laugh and reduce your anxiety, let me tell you an amusing story about my H from this morning.
So, I do all the laundry at our house. H hates doing it, I hate vacuuming, so I do laundry and he vacuums. Anyway, I tell you this because any time he doesn't have clean something, he blames me. So this morning, he's all cranky because he doesn't have any clean boxers. I'm baffled as to how this is, because he still has clean shirts, and he *always* runs out of shirts first. So as he's getting ready (sans clean underwear) I look through the pile of laundry that still remains to be folded (yea, I'm terrible at making sure that happens). I find not one, but TWO pairs of his underwear in the pile he supposedly thoroughly checked.
He comes out of the bathroom and goes "Huh, look at that, you were right. I do have the same number of shirts as I have underwear. My bad." I just roll my eyes. Like yea, dude, I do the laundry and I buy most of your clothes for you. I know exactly how many of each thing you have.
Baby has switched positions and it is putting an extreme amount of pressure on my lower back and pelvis. I'm ready for him to lodge himself back into my ribs.

Lol! Idk if it's a husband trait, but my DH is horrrrrrrrible at finding things. It makes me ragey.
I was up a ton last night - feeling sore and having cramps. It seems better this morning but I'm thinking it was just from being too active yesterday. Who knows. The end of pregnancy is just rough.

Sleep was better last night. I took Tylenol before going to bed because my right hip has been bothering me all the time, not just sleeping so I'm sure that helped. I also realized that if I woke up because my left hip was aching (tried sleeping only on my left last night since the right was hurting before bed) and laid on my back for a bit, I was able to fall back to sleep on my left side again and not have to lay on the right hip at all. Hopefully I can keep that up!!
Glad to hear her last half day started off well annapunkalunka! Hope the full days continue this way!
Haha pismoduo. Sometimes H's just can't seem to find things right in front of them!
Sorry for the pain danielle. Hope he shifts again soon!!
If I do too much I definitely feel it cbowl. Especially if I'm active AND don't drink enough water then I really feel it! Hope you can take it a bit easier today!
I panicked last night that I was going into labor. I had 2 contractions within a few minutes of each other that felt like the real deal. Thankfully, it stopped after drinking a ton of water and going to bed. I know twins often come early, but I'd really love to make it at least another week to get to 35 weeks.
Also, at almost 19 months old, DD1 put herself to bed for nap AND bedtime last night all by herself and didn't even cry when I left the room. It's been a long road of sleeplessness, but hopefully this becomes the norm.
This week keeps getting better. Another bad drop off with DS. Then I get a text later that he kicked his sitter (who is pregnant) in the stomach during the tantrum when I left. I'm so pissed. I know he knows better and we don't tolerate hitting or kicking in our house.
I'm just in a shitty mood. The baby wasn't moving a whole lot last night so I had nightmares. Some baby related, some not. Baby has been moving today. Work has been stressful and we're short staffed and I feel too fucking pregnant to deal with any of it.
Sorry I'm having myself a pity party. Cue small violin.

Yes, it's a male thing, MH, my dad, my 13 year old, my 16 year old nephew... they are always having issues finding stuff.
Not much going on here, just work later. I'm starting to get irrationally nervous that this baby is going to make his appearance a few weeks early. We still have a big project that needs to get done and I have to clean all the baby stuff that's in the garage and reorganize the drawers. The next two weeks we have plans so hopefully I'm wrong! DS was born the day after his EDD so I'm hoping this LO follows suit!
singingsea what a rough day! I hope it gets better.
I need to find s coming home outfit. I'm also having irrational fears about going into labor early. I don't know why, maybe because I feel more aches and pains this time and don't remember that the first time.

Lovetits for solidarity for everyone! I'm in so much pain the last 2 days, I don't know if baby moved positions or went head down or what but my pelvis is so painful. I'm walking (waddling) like an old woman and I feel like my uterus is about to fall out. I was in tears yesterday morning and my poor DD was sooo upset. She told me last night that she wishes she could be pregnant for me so I wouldn't be hurting
Hallelujah. My theory about the pack n play was right, it *does* have the bassinet attachment. What I was looking for was the infant napper thingy. Meh, I can live without that.
So I set it all up, confirmed it all worked. H was like "great, so she can sleep in that, right?" We discussed, I pointed out that while she totally could and I was fine with the idea of using a pack n play in her room, we did need to think about having something downstairs for her to hang out or nap in, since our office will be down there and we spend a lot of time in that office. He pondered, then kind of nodded. I said we could either use the pack n play downstairs (helpful when she gets bigger cause it's a play pen too) and get a real crib for upstairs in her room, or we could use the pack n play upstairs and buy a little bassinet or something for downstairs. He's pondering. But progress has been made, at least he admits there might be more stuff we need than just this pack n play, a car seat, and some clothes.
Plus pismoduo your LO might not like the pack n play. I don't know why but DD hated it and we didn't really use it until she was bigger for a play pen. I love md having the swing, rock n play, and bassinet for different options depending on her mood that day. Glad you talked some sense into him!
I survived the visitation this evening. I only broke down once when I saw her daughter. Only 3 of our students were there and they were 5th graders and okay with their parents so luckily not much counseling was needed.
In happier news DD caught her first fish with DH while I was there. She was so happy.
Right there with everyone having preterm labour fears. I was having bad crampy back pain yesterday and told DH I was sure this baby would be early too, but today I'm feeling fine so who knows! It's a weird thought that DD would have been born a little over a week from now. I'm sure if I do end up going to term this will feel like the longest pregnancy ever! On the plus side I'm pretty excited about finishing up at work at the end of the month. I'm going back to a different team (that I much much prefer) when I return from mat leave and I am SO ready to be done working in the team I'm currently in.
DD has been great but crazy crazy energetic the last few days and I'm getting pretty anxious on how I'll manage that and a newborn in a couple of weeks! She's only 19 months but she is on the go full speed all day, climbing, running, jumping etc.

I'm hoping she'll like it. If not we'll figure something else out. I've got a swing and a rock n play and a real crib on the registry, so hopefully between all those we can find something she'll like.
I just want to make sure we have something on each floor, so I'm not going upstairs and down all day. Save

We did end up running out to buy the swing after she was born. And I had a very unhappy/difficult baby in general compared to most. I bet chances are yours will take to the PNP just fine.

That's so sweet. Sorry you're having more pain. I think my LO must have changed position too, but in a positive way. Maybe your LO will change position again soon.
I was at Michaels tonight and an employee asked if I was having a boy. I told her I was having a girl and she replied "Are you sure? You look great and usually when women have girls they look awful because the daughters are stealing their beauty. You should have them double check!"
Thank you? I guess...
DD stole my eyelashes when I was pregnant with her. I've never had issues with my eye lashes. They used to be long enough and dark enough that I didn't need mascara to make them look nice. Until baby number 2, which was my now 19 month old DD. My lashes returned a bit, but they are nothing like they were
Oh, and I'm having a girl again, and I think I look ok lol.
