In between our weekly moans and WTFs, let us list what is right and good about today. I am a firm believer in airing frustraties, but it cannot hurt to pat attenties to the good once in a while.
I'm thankful dh was given medicine for his sinus infection. I'm thankful the chemo dh's grandma is getting is working. I'm thankful DD and I have somehow made it through the night with only two or so hours of sleep.

It's hard to be thankful right at this moment for me. I have a killer migraine & my back is still terrible.. but I guess I did wake up this morning, so I'm thankful for that!

I'm thankful for warm puppy cuddles all night while our heat was being wonky. Also thankful for great health insurance after looking through what they've covered since Maddy was born. Yeesh. Some of these tests they've run are no joke price-wise. Also also thankful I work from home. SIL/FIL are coming over and I can take a break to clean last night's dishes before they get here. Couldn't do that at the office!
I'm thankful for the easy dropoff at daycare this morning. We switched to a new room in the fall and the transition was tough but in the last month since we returned from break there have been no more tears and this morning I even got a kiss and a "See ya, Mommy!" It's nice to walk away feeling happy that he's happy.

I am thankful I have choices. I get to choose whether or not to work, choose the childcare or preschool we want for DS, choose the neighborhood we live in, choose the car I drive and I get to make a ton of daily choices that many don't get to make such as to cook dinner or eat out, to buy something we want or need, or not to buy it, etc. I feel lucky to have that freedom in my life.

I am thankful DS slept last night because he decided he would not nap for 6 hours straight (that's a new record for him) yesterday. I am also thankful he is 5 months today and,for the most part,is the most awesomest little guy ever!!!!
I'm thankful my H has a job where he can just leave and take a 1/2 day when he doesn't feel well. I'm thankful for an amazingly smart daughter who won a writing contest in school this month and gets to have a fast food lunch with her teacher! I'm thankful it freaking stopped snowing!!!!!!! I'm thankful for the peppermint marshmallow wax tart I have going in my house, so refreshing and yummy. And I'm thankful my close friend is healing so well after her heart transplant and feeling incredible and healthy again.

I'm thankful DS is getting right into his car seat when he gets out of school. He used to mess around & waste so much time before. I hope it stays like this.

I am thankful that our HOA hired big trucks to haul away all of the extra snow so it is safer to drive in the neighborhood. And thankful we don't have to pay crazy high dues but everything still gets taken care of really well!

I like threads like this!
Thankful for so much. I know I complain about my finances a lot here, but I really forget how fortunate and spoiled I really am.
Heard on the radio this AM that Netflix will soon be available in Cuba to citizens that have hi-speed internet, but then the person reporting the story said that most Cubans don't have that luxury (yes! it is a luxury!) and most also can't afford the 7.99 monthly subscription. That really puts things into perspective for me.
I'm thankful that DD is healthy. I'm thankful that through all this crappy feeling I haven't had an actual seizure. I'm thankful we are in a position where I can take time off work without pay and although it sucks, it's not devastating. I'm thankful that my H is so understanding about the whole situation.
I have a lot to be thankful for! I have been feeling pretty mopey lately so this is actually nice to put out there, thanks!
Today I'm extra thankful to find out my aunts next placement will be in buffalo. This is the first time in 20 years we'll be in the same state, and shell be retiring after that so she'll be staying here. My cousins are all already out of the house but 2 of them will be here during their summer breaks I'm so excited.

I read somewhere that the average (or maybe median?) monthly income in Cuba is $20. Netflix would be a huge luxury.
