Hello! I'm not an EP'er but I'm headed down that path and am pumping 6-9 times per day. My LO is 10 weeks and heart surgery made bf'ing tough fron the start.
A few questions... how often do you pump? How much/how often does your lo feed?
Mine is taking bottles every 1-2 hours, except for one "longer" stretch at night. Usually around 40ml/1.5oz. I want to follow her cues but would love to encourage a more spread out scedule.
I'm using an Ameda purely yours ultra, just got a Harmony for on the go... am considering renting a hospital grade. My PYU doesn't always empty me. )c:
I don't know that my situation is much of the "average" because my kid has always been a big eater. At that point he was eating every 2 hours, about 4 oz each bottle, and averaged 26-30 oz each day. I don't think the average baby eats nearly that much though.
They say to keep supply up you should be pumping every 2-3 hours or so (to mimic a baby nursing).
