I just made my mother in laws bread recipe. I should have halved it but I didn't and it makes 4 dozen rolls. I know she's used half the recipe to make cinnamon rolls before but could I just mix some cinnamon and raisins in a half or fourth of the dough and form it into a loaf? Any ideas?

Yes! My mom used to make homemade bread all the time. Just mix in whatever you like - herbs, cinnamon and raisins, dried fruits (like dates) and nuts - and make the loaf. If you make a sweet bread, you may want to add some brown sugar or honey to the dough to sweeten it up. For herb bread, try using rosemary, parsley, garlic, and oregano.

Ooh I've got lots of pecans that I could use too. My husband is going to be so excited when he gets home. He'll probably eat bread for dinner lol.

My mom had to stop making homemade bread - we all got fat really fast LOL
My favorite was the herb bread. You can make it in roll size, freeze the unbaked rolls, and pop 'em in the oven when you need them. Great for sandwiches, too.
