Just for fun: Pick baby's birthday

mc13 's thread made me think more about the ideal day for us to have these babies. So tell us: if you could choose this baby's birthday, which day would you pick and why?

If I could pick, I would choose September 9th. DD's birthday is 8/8 so it would be fun if her sibling were 9/9. Then again, that would sure put a lot of pressure on hypothetical future children.

Rather than a day I'd like, I have a day I'd prefer it isn't. Hopefully I don't jinx myself by actually writing this, but I'd rather not have a kid with a 9/11 b-day. I feel like the reasoning is fairly obvious since I live in the US. Just would prefer my child have a different day for their birthday.

I'm just hoping to be home on the 11th anyway since it's season opener for the Patriots and Giants and MH and I are hoping to plan an all-afternoon/evening gathering with friends to watch lots of football!!

9/1. DS is 5/1, FIL is 7/1 and MIL is 8/1. It would fit. I'd also be ok with 9/5 because it's Labor Day in the US, and DS1 was born on the rest of the world's Labor Day.

I have a few. 9/27 would be my friend's birthday who just passed away. 9/28 is my FIL's birthday (my due date). 9/30 is my brother's and niece's birthday.

The one day I have to avoid is 9/29. That's my sister's recently ex-husband's birthday. So I'll probably end up having her then. 😉

hoping baby stays put til at least September. DH and I both have August birthdays and it is already hectic. I also selfishly don't want her born on 9/15 because it is our wedding anniversary and we should get one day that we don't have to share

Anytime after 9/1 but not on 9/15 is fine by me. Oh... and if she could not make me wait all 40w, that'd be cool too

9/3 I think. I just don't want 9/4, 9/5 or 9/9. I refuse to plan beyond that.

ETA: my dads bday is 8/31, so he'd love a buddy and I'd be ok with that but have no intentions of going early. MIL's bday is 9/4 and we don't have the best relationship, so I'd like to avoid that day if possible so we don't have to have any additional interactions or reasons to connect.

A 9/21 b-day would be nice. That's my Stepmom's bday (who I absolutely adore) and the day my MIL flies in to help for 2 weeks so it's a tight squeeze timing her visit right when baby is born.
I'm really hoping for not a 9/7 b-day since that's my Bonus Son's Mom's b-day so she automatically gets Bonus Son that day every year and I'd be sad for him to miss his sister's b-day.

My sister's birthday is sept 20 so that would be kind of cool, but would mean going over so I'm not exacccctly hoping for that. I don't really mind the date!

I would actually love for this baby to wait till 9/29 or 9/30 to be born, for a couple of reasons. First, DD's bday is 9/3 so putting as much space between future birthday parties as possible would be good. Second, i'm hoping to stretch my ML through Christmas, so the later it starts, the better. Third, sapphires are gorgeous so don't wait till October, baby boy! 😉

Part of me would also love to share a birthday with this LO, but that would mean that baby would be 13 days late. DD was 10 days late, so we could end up being pretty close, though I wouldn't be excited about spending this year's birthday in the hospital.

I would choose 9/10, just because I will be exactly 39 weeks and that is the latest they will let me schedule my RCS. I want the baby to cook as long as possible since he's not coming out on his own time.

I am fine with a late August date like the 28th. Really as long as I make it to 38 weeks she can come on. I just don't want to go over my due date.

I'm actually cool with my due date 09/02. It's a Friday and I have this thing about Fridays. I got married on a Friday and DS1 was born on a Friday. It's just a good day for me

My EDD is 9/22, so that day or a few days later is cool with me. That's the cusp date for being a Libra, and I'm a Libra, and we're pretty awesome 😊 Lol

For DH's sake, I'd say 9/23. He has a thing for 3s, and DS was due 11/23 but born the 24th.

I dreamt that he was born on September 9. I will be 38 weeks, so I think it would be great. My mom should be here on the 8, so, I really want him to stay put until then.

I'd love for her to come at the end of September. But let's be honest. I'm going to go over my due date just like I did with DS and our anniversary is the 6th of October, so my bet is that's when she will come.

My due date is 9/24 and that works fine for me. Going late means more maternity leave so I'd rather be late than early. I was 5 days late with baby #1. I would prefer to labor on the weekend so I can watch football during. That helped with baby #1
